We understand your desire for clarity and discernment in this situation, and we will pray with you for God's will to be revealed. We are concerned about the two men in your life. Having two men in your life for five years and spending extended amounts of time with them is concerning.
We also need to address that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are not our own; we were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. The Bible also teaches us to avoid even the appearance of evil.
First, let's consider the first man. It's commendable that you both share the same faith, but the lack of family support should not be the main obstacle to marriage. The Bible tells us, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Genesis 2:24 (WEB). While family support is desirable, it should not be the deciding factor. If he is not pursuing marriage, it could be a sign that he is not the one God has planned for you.
Regarding the second man, ultimatums are not a healthy way to make decisions in a relationship. We must be cautious of manipulation and control. Consider what the Apostle Paul says about love. Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (WEB). Ultimatums do not align with these characteristics of love. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Consider this as well. Micah 6:8 (WEB).
In both cases, it's crucial to seek God's will and not just your own desires. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Psalm 37:4-5.
Your unhappiness in this situation is understandable, but remember that God's timing is perfect. He has a plan and a purpose for you. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for our sister's life. We pray that You grant her the clarity and discernment she needs to make a bold decision regarding the men in her life. If either of these men is her future spouse, we pray that You make it clear and guide her steps towards marriage. If neither is Your will for her, we pray that she be free to trust and pursue the husband You have prepared for her.
We pray for the men. We pray that they will seek Your will for their lives and make a decision to have a Godly relationship that honors you. We pray for their salvation if they do not know you. We pray for their character to be one that honors you.
Lord, we ask that You remove any fear, doubt, or confusion from our sister's heart. Replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Guide her steps and help her to trust in Your timing.
If there is any sin in the relationship, we pray that she will immediately repent and turn away. Surround her with a community of believers who will support and encourage her in this journey.
We also pray that our sister will continue to grow in her faith, putting You first in every aspect of her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you. Trust in God's timing and remember that He has a plan and a purpose for your life.
Please note that the prayer request did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 (WEB).
We encourage you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household. Acts 16:31 (WEB).
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. John 3:16-17 (WEB).
Please confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10 (WEB).
We encourage you to contact us again with further updates and prayer requests.
