Disciple of Prayer
I love my husband, and I need help from intercessors and prayer warriors to pray over him and help him to remember who he is, help him to remember his family, and help him to understand what he needs and what he truly wants. Please help him to overcome the strongholds of combat PTSD from being deployed 4 times to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. As well as prayer to be released from the strong holds of infidelity, past family abuse, mental health from a personality and behavioral disorder, overcome his temper, and free him from the disassociation from reality because of conspiracy theories, free him from substance abuse addiction and alcohol. To help him realize that his wife, three children, and my family (in-laws) love him and care about him. I’m also asking for prayer to help him realize he doesn’t need to run away from fears of abandonment and faults or problems, that his family is here to help him through it all. Help him to understand that his mother and father love him very much, even though his mother, ###, passed away in 2011 from diabetes. She was very hard on him and neglected him. His older brother, ###, overdosed on prescription medications in 2015. His father, ###, is waiting to be placed in a nursing home because he is getting older in his early 80s. His health is declining, and his sister ### is going through multiple surgeries to remove cancer from behind her eye. Pray for him to understand that not all circumstances are his fault because he didn’t get to spend enough time with his mother and brother. Placing emotional abuse on his family has been forgiven. I’m praying and desperately asking for my husband to return to us, his family. (“My husband told me he prayed to God, and he said that he shouldn’t stay married to me.”) I know those are lies from the enemy, and we are going through so much spiritual warfare. God would never say those terrible things that go through my husband’s head. We love him dearly. There is no need for separation. Because our family was baptized (our kids and I), and we believe in prayer, healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation. We can get him the help he needs to control his mind and manage his life through professional therapy and rehabilitation clinics, so he receives real lasting recovery and gets better again. We have been married for 24 years, and I pray that our family can become a true testimony. Thank you for your time.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep spiritual warfare, lifting up your husband and your marriage, knowing that our God is a God of restoration, healing, and redemption. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your husband is under attack, but we declare that no weapon formed against him or your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in your husband’s life (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must address the lies your husband has believed—the voice that told him he "shouldn’t stay married to you." That is not the voice of God. God *hates* divorce (Malachi 2:16), and His desire is for marriages to reflect the covenant love between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and he seeks to destroy what God has joined together. We rebuke this deception in the name of Jesus and declare that your husband’s mind will be renewed by the truth of God’s Word (Romans 12:2). The Lord has not abandoned him, and neither have you. Your commitment to stand in faith for your marriage is a powerful testimony of God’s love.

We also recognize the deep wounds your husband carries—combat PTSD, childhood neglect, the loss of his mother and brother, substance abuse, infidelity, and the torment of conspiracy theories that distort reality. These are not small struggles; they are strongholds that have taken root in his mind and spirit. But we serve a God who breaks chains (Psalm 107:14) and sets captives free (Luke 4:18). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in him (Romans 8:11), and we command every spirit of fear, confusion, addiction, and torment to flee in Jesus’ name.

Your husband’s struggles with infidelity and substance abuse are symptoms of a deeper spiritual battle. The Word says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that he will turn from these sins, repent before the Lord, and receive the cleansing and restoration that only Jesus can provide (1 John 1:9). Addiction is a form of bondage, but Jesus said, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray for divine intervention—whether through professional Christian counseling, rehabilitation, or a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit—to break these cycles once and for all.

We also lift up the generational wounds in his family—the abuse, neglect, and loss that have left scars on his heart. The enemy has used these experiences to fuel his fear of abandonment and his tendency to run from problems rather than face them. But God is a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and He longs to heal your husband’s broken places. We pray that he will receive the love of the Father in a way he never has before, that he will know he is *chosen, not rejected* (1 Peter 2:9), and that he will no longer carry the false guilt of thinking he failed his mother or brother. The blood of Jesus covers all sin and shame (Hebrews 9:14), and we declare that he is *forgiven and free*.

As for his dissociation from reality through conspiracy theories, we pray for a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) and discernment to recognize truth from deception. The Word says, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5). We bind the spirit of delusion and ask the Holy Spirit to flood his mind with clarity, peace, and the truth of God’s Word.

We stand with you in agreement that your husband *will* return to his family. Your marriage is a covenant, and God honors covenants. We pray that he will have a divine encounter with the Lord—one that shakes him to his core and reminds him of who he is in Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of his need for repentance and restoration, that he will humble himself before God, and that he will choose to fight for his family rather than run from it.

We also encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, sister. Your prayers are powerful (James 5:16), and your refusal to give up is a testament to God’s strength in you. Keep speaking life over your husband, even when you don’t see immediate change. Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in prayer. And remember: this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).

Finally, we pray for your entire family—your children, your in-laws, and your husband’s father and sister. May the Lord bring healing to each of them, especially as they face health battles and aging. We ask for supernatural comfort, provision, and strength for all of you. May this season of trial become a season of *testimony*—one where the world sees the power of a God who restores what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her husband. Lord, You see the depth of his pain—the wounds of war, the scars of childhood, the torment of addiction, and the lies that have taken root in his mind. But You, O God, are greater than all of it. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask for a supernatural touch upon his life.

Break every chain of PTSD, addiction, infidelity, and mental torment. Cast out every spirit of fear, confusion, and deception. Restore his mind, Lord, and let him see clearly—the truth of Your love, the reality of his family’s love, and the enemy’s schemes for what they are. We rebuke the spirit of division in his marriage and declare that what You have joined together, no man—or demon—can separate (Mark 10:9).

Father, we pray for a *divine interruption*—a moment where Your presence becomes so real to him that he can no longer deny Your call on his life. Softens his heart, Lord. Let him remember the vows he made before You, and give him the strength to fight for his family. Remove the scales from his eyes so he can see the love that surrounds him—the love of his wife, his children, and even the love of his earthly father and late mother, flawed as it may have been.

We pray for complete deliverance from substance abuse, for freedom from the grip of alcohol and drugs. Fill the void in his soul with Your Holy Spirit, so he no longer seeks escape in things that destroy. We pray for healing from the trauma of war, for peace that surpasses understanding to guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask for reconciliation in this marriage. Let Your love be the glue that holds them together. Give this wife supernatural strength, wisdom, and patience as she stands in the gap. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.

We also lift up the extended family—healing for the father, complete restoration for the sister battling cancer, and comfort for all who mourn. Let this family become a living testimony of Your power to redeem, restore, and resurrect what was dead.

In the name of Jesus, we command every stronghold to be torn down. We declare that this husband *will* return to his family, that his mind *will* be renewed, and that his heart *will* be turned back to You. Let this marriage be a beacon of hope—a story of Your faithfulness for generations to come.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family, Father, and let Your will be done in their lives.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. **Amen.**

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your husband, your marriage, and your family before the Lord in these past days. The weight of what you are carrying is not lost on us—we hear the deep love in your words, the ache for restoration, and the fierce battle being waged for your husband’s heart, mind, and soul. It is a privilege to stand in the gap with you, to cry out for God’s healing power to break every chain of trauma, addiction, and deception that has bound him for so long.

We are praying earnestly that your husband would experience the overwhelming love of Christ in a way that shatters the lies he has believed—lies that have told him he is unworthy, abandoned, or beyond hope. We ask the Lord to remind him daily of who he is in Christ: a beloved son, a warrior redeemed, a husband and father deeply cherished. May the Holy Spirit move mightily to soften his heart toward you and your children, to reveal the truth that his family is his refuge, not his enemy. We declare that the strongholds of PTSD, infidelity, substance abuse, and dissociative thoughts would be demolished by the power of Jesus’ name, and that his mind would be renewed with the truth of God’s Word.

We also lift you up, dear sister, as you walk this difficult path. Your faith and perseverance are a testament to God’s strength in you. We pray that the Lord would surround you with His peace, that He would guard your heart against discouragement, and that He would fill you with supernatural hope as you wait for His timing. You are not forgotten—He sees your tears, your prayers, and your unwavering love for your husband. We ask for divine wisdom as you seek professional help and resources for his recovery, that every door would open at the right time, and that your husband would be willing to step through them.

If the Lord has begun to move in this situation—whether through small steps or a mighty breakthrough—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the tiniest glimmer of hope is worth celebrating, as it is evidence that God is at work. But if the battle still rages and the answers seem delayed, do not hesitate to post again. We are here to continue standing with you, to storm the gates of heaven on behalf of your husband’s complete restoration, and to remind you that you are not alone in this fight.

May the Lord bless you with an unshakable trust in His goodness, even in the waiting. May He remind you that He is the God who redeems what is broken, who turns ashes into beauty, and who specializes in the impossible. We are believing with you for a miracle—a testimony of healing, reconciliation, and renewed faith that will glorify His name.

We love you, we are praying for you, and we are trusting God to do what only He can do. In Jesus’ name.
