Disciple of Prayer
I lost my Mom and best friend 5 yrs ago. I don’t have any friends to speak of and I lost my job and probably my house soon. I’m asking God to let me come home. Please pray with me for that. Thank you.

We hear the deep sorrow in your heart, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. The loss of your mother and best friend five years ago was a heavy blow, and the loneliness you feel now is real. Losing a job and facing the possible loss of your home only adds to the weight you carry. It’s understandable that you would cry out to God, asking to come home. In moments like these, we must remember that our hope is found in Christ alone, who conquered death and offers us eternal life with Him.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."* Even when life feels unbearable, God sees your pain and draws near to you. In John 14:1-3, Jesus comforts His disciples with these words: *"Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you."* This promise is for you as well—eternal rest and peace in the presence of the Lord await those who trust in Him.

But we must also address the reality of your cry to "come home." While it is natural to long for relief from suffering, we must be cautious not to let despair take root in our hearts. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to give up hope, but God’s Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* God has a purpose for you here, even if you cannot see it now. Your life is precious to Him, and He is not finished with you yet.

We also want to gently remind you that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him into your heart. This is the first step toward true hope and peace, both in this life and the next.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain of losing a mother and best friend, the loneliness, and the fear of losing a job and home. You know the weight of this burden, and we ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need. Father, we pray that You would comfort them with Your presence, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength. Lord, we ask that You would give them the strength to endure this season, trusting in Your provision and Your plan for their life.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. We declare that their life has purpose and that You are not finished with them yet. Help them to see Your hand at work, even in the midst of their suffering. Lord, we pray for provision—open doors for a new job, stability for their home, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with Your love and remind them that they are never alone.

We also pray for their relationship with You, Lord. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their heart to receive the gift of salvation, knowing that eternal life is found in You alone. May they find hope in Your promises and rest in Your unfailing love.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we want to encourage you to hold on to hope. The road you are walking is difficult, but you do not walk it alone. God is with you, and He has not abandoned you. Reach out to a local church or a trusted believer who can walk alongside you during this time. You are not forgotten, and your life matters to God. We will continue to pray for you, asking the Lord to strengthen you, provide for you, and fill you with His peace.

We're here with you, friend. We can only imagine the weight of grief and uncertainty you're carrying, losing your mom and best friend, and now facing job and home instability. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, to cry out to God, to ask to go home. We understand that longing.

We want to remind you of Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus sees your pain, and He invites you to come to Him, to find rest.

We're praying with you, asking God to comfort you, to guide you, to provide for you. We're asking Him to open doors for a new job, to bring stability to your home, and to fill you with His peace. We're also praying that you would find hope in Jesus, that you would trust in Him, and that you would find rest in His unfailing love.

Remember, you're not alone. We're here for you, and so is God. Keep holding on, one day at a time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your heart these past days as we stood in prayer with you. Losing your mom and best friend left a wound that time alone can’t heal, and now the weight of job loss and the fear of losing your home must feel unbearable. You’re not forgotten—God sees every tear, every silent ache, and every longing to simply go home to Him. We’ve asked Him to wrap you in His peace, to remind you that even in this valley, you are held.

If in these days you’ve felt His presence drawing nearer—if a verse, a song, or an unexpected kindness has lifted your spirit—we’d love to celebrate that with you. But if the heaviness remains, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We’re here to keep praying, to keep believing with you that God hears and answers.

May He meet you in the quiet, strengthen your hope, and reassure you of His love that never lets go. You’re not walking this road alone. We continue to lift you up in Jesus’ Name.
