We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for ###, who is diligently seeking an internship opportunity in her final year of studies. The frustration of repeated rejections can weigh heavily on the spirit, and we understand her discouragement. However, we must first address a critical matter in this request: the invocation of "Rev. Fr. ###" for prayer. The Bible is clear that there is only one Mediator between God and humanity—our Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in **1 Timothy 2:5**, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* There is no biblical basis for seeking intercession through any human, living or deceased, including priests or saints. Our prayers must be directed to God alone through Jesus Christ, who is our High Priest and Advocate (Hebrews 4:14-16).
We are grateful that this request does acknowledge Jesus, and we rejoice in the declaration, *"Love you Jesus... Thank you Jesus."* This is the foundation of our faith—our relationship with Christ alone. Yet we must ensure that our trust is placed fully in Him, not in any human intermediary.
Now, let us turn our hearts to ###’s situation. The struggle for placement can feel overwhelming, but we know that God has a plan for her life. **Jeremiah 29:11** reminds us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even in this season of waiting, God is preparing her, refining her, and opening doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8).
However, we must also consider whether there is any area in ###’s life that may be hindering God’s blessings. Is there unconfessed sin, pride, or a lack of trust in God’s timing? **Proverbs 3:5-6** instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If ### has been relying solely on her own efforts—no matter how rigorous—without surrendering this burden to the Lord, it may be time for her to release this struggle into His hands.
We also encourage ### to examine her motives. Is she seeking this internship for her own glory, or is she surrendering her career to the Lord, trusting that He will use her skills for His kingdom? **Colossians 3:23-24** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If her heart is aligned with God’s will, He will provide in His perfect timing.
Let us also rebuke any spirit of depression that may be weighing on ###. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we have authority in Christ to resist him. **2 Corinthians 10:4-5** declares, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* Depression is not from God, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray together for ###:
Heavenly Father, we lift up ### to You, knowing that You are the God who sees her struggles and hears her cries. Lord, we ask that You forgive any misplaced trust in human intermediaries and draw ### closer to Yourself. Remind her that her help comes from You alone, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).
Father, we pray that You open the right door for her internship—a door that You have prepared, not just for her career, but for Your glory. Let her skills and diligence be recognized by those in authority, and give her favor as You did for Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 39:21). Remove any obstacles in her path, whether spiritual, emotional, or circumstantial. If there is any sin or unbelief in her heart, convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her to repentance.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of rejection and depression that has sought to oppress ###. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew her mind with Your truth (Romans 12:2). Let her find her worth and identity in You alone, not in worldly success.
We pray that ### would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33). Give her patience to wait on Your timing and faith to believe that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Father, we ask that You use ###’s future career as a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let her be a light in her workplace, pointing others to Christ through her integrity, excellence, and love. May she walk in the purpose You have for her, bringing glory to Your name in all she does.
