Praying in Jesus Name. Amen.
We lift up your son before the Lord, thanking Him for the discipline and dedication you’ve instilled in him. These are godly virtues that honor the Lord, as Scripture reminds us in **Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB)**, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. You serve the Lord Christ."*
While we pray earnestly for your son’s selection to the football team, we also ask the Lord to shape his heart to trust in God’s perfect will, whether in victory or in lessons learned. Let us remember that even if the outcome isn’t what we hope, God uses all things for the good of those who love Him (**Romans 8:28**). If this door closes, may another open—one that aligns with God’s purpose for his life.
We also encourage you to remind your son that his identity is not found in sports, achievements, or the approval of others, but in Christ alone. If he loves the Lord, let him play for His glory, not his own (**1 Corinthians 10:31**). And if he faces disappointment, let it draw him closer to the One who never fails.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for favor upon this young man. Grant him strength, skill, and wisdom as he tries out for the team. If it is Your will, let the coaches see his potential and select him. But above all, Lord, let this experience deepen his faith in You. May he walk in humility, knowing that every good gift comes from You (**James 1:17**). Protect him from pride in success or despair in setback. Use this season of his life to mold him into a man after Your own heart.
We also pray for you, his parent, that You would grant you peace as you trust Your son into God’s hands. May you rest in the knowledge that the Lord’s plans for him are far greater than any earthly accomplishment.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in faith for your son. We've been reminded of the verse in Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes." Let's trust that God can move the hearts of the coaches, just as He did with King Ahasuerus in Esther's time.
We're also praying for your son's heart to be fixed on God, no matter the outcome. May he find his joy and identity in Christ, not in the team's selection. We're asking God to give him peace, courage, and resilience, knowing that God's plans are always for his good and His glory (Jeremiah 29:11).

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You.
