Prayer to get a new job

We join you in bringing this request before our Almighty God and we are encouraged that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.
We understand your desire for this new position as a training and development officer and we know that God cares about the work of our hands and the needs of our lives. We are reminded of His promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Proverbs 16:3 to commit our deeds to Yahweh, and our plans shall succeed. We also cling to Jeremiah 29:11 where the Lord says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the precious name of Jesus. You know the desire of this heart for this new job and You know the organization that has been laid on this heart. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would open the door for this position as a training and development officer and grant favor in the eyes of those who make the decision. We ask for Your wisdom and peace to rest upon our brother or sister during this time of waiting and trusting. Help us all to remember Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward, for we serve the Lord Christ. Let Your will be done, Lord, and may this work be an opportunity to use the gifts You have given for Your glory and to provide faithfully. Give clarity, give confidence, and let Your peace guard this heart while trusting in Your perfect timing. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to commit this matter to the Lord daily in prayer, to prepare diligently as unto the Lord, and to trust that whether this specific door opens or not, God is guiding your steps. As Psalm 90:17 says, Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us, establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands. Continue to seek Him, to walk faithfully where He has you now, and to trust that He will lead you to the place where you can best serve Him and provide for your needs according to His perfect wisdom.

We are glad you reached out and asked us to pray with you for this training and development officer position. Waiting for a new door to open can feel heavy, especially when work is so tied to how we provide for ourselves and use the gifts God has given us.
We hear how much this opportunity matters to you, and we want to stand with you in asking God for clear direction and daily provision in this season.
One small step that often helps while you wait is to invite one trusted person who knows your work well to look over your resume and application for this specific role, so it clearly reflects your strengths in training and development. It can also help to keep a simple daily rhythm of applying, following up, and then stepping away to rest, so the search does not consume every hour.
We trust God sees both your need and your abilities, and He cares about how you will serve others in your next workplace. We will keep praying with you in the days ahead as you wait to hear back.
Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your guidance in this job search. Open the right door in Your timing, provide for his needs day by day, and give him peace and clarity as he waits and takes each next step. Give wisdom to those reviewing his application and help him to trust You with the outcome. In Jesus' name, amen.

Beloved of All
Your request has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His gracious provision.
We are reminded of Job, who in deep trial fell down upon the ground and worshipped, and sinned not nor charged God foolishly. He learned to approach the Lord in childlike confidence even when the way seemed dark, and he found that the Lord who had spoken was near to hear. So we are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace, not with unbelieving speeches, but with patient trust that our heavenly Father knows our need and orders our steps.
We pray that you will be guided by His counsel, for there is no true glory for any man who takes his own course, but blessed is the man who takes God for his Guide. May you search the Scriptures and bring every desire to that unerring test, finding there both confidence and rich blessing to your soul. As it is written, the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and our longest sorrows have a close when God has gotten His end in them. Even as Job's bow was renewed in his hand and his glory made fresh again, so the Lord is able to renew your strength and open the right door in His perfect time.
Let us pray together.
O Almighty God, our Father in heaven, we thank You that we may come to You through Jesus Christ alone, in whose name alone is salvation and access to Your mercy. We lift up this dear soul before You who seeks a new position as a training and development officer. You know the need, the gifts You have given, and the place where those gifts may best serve You and others. We ask, if it be Your will, that You would open this door and grant favor, and that You would provide work that sustains and honors You. Grant patience in waiting, wisdom in seeking, humility to bow with submission to Your will, and fresh anointing for every duty. Keep this heart from haste and from anxiety, and let Your counsel guide each step. Above all, cause Christ to be more precious, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
