Beloved of All
Lord Jesus, I pray for two youths who are such good youths and so much drawn to each other to be able to confess their feelings to each other. Be with them to juggle high school studies, family and friends life balance. I pray this and leave it in your hands lord. Amen

We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for these two youths, knowing that His will is perfect, His love unfailing, and His wisdom beyond our own. While it is beautiful to see young people drawn to one another in affection, we must first and foremost seek God’s design for relationships, which is rooted in holiness, purity, and His perfect timing. The Bible makes it clear that romantic relationships are to be pursued with the intention of marriage between one man and one woman, as established from the beginning: *"He who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’"* (Matthew 19:4-5, WEB). Any relationship outside of this design—including emotional or physical intimacy before marriage—is not pleasing to God and can lead to sin, heartache, and distraction from His purposes.

If these youths are of the same sex, we must lovingly but firmly declare that such a relationship is not in alignment with Scripture. Homosexuality is explicitly condemned as sin in both the Old and New Testaments: *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). If this is the case, we pray for repentance, renewal of mind, and a heart surrendered to Christ’s lordship, that they may walk in obedience and find their identity in Him alone.

Even if this is a heterosexual relationship, we must ask: Are these youths seeking the Lord first in this connection? Are they both believers, committed to following Christ above all else? The apostle Paul warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A relationship built on anything other than a shared faith in Jesus Christ is on shaky ground. If one or both are not walking with the Lord, we pray for salvation and a heart fully surrendered to Him before any thought of romance.

We also recognize the dangers of emotional entanglement at a young age, especially in high school where priorities should be focused on growing in faith, wisdom, and preparation for the future God has called them to. The distractions of romance can easily pull them away from their studies, their families, and most importantly, their walk with Christ. The Bible encourages young people to *"flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart"* (2 Timothy 2:22, WEB). Now is the time to build a foundation in Christ, not to be consumed by feelings that can lead to compromise.

Lastly, we notice that while this prayer was directed to "Lord Jesus," there was no explicit acknowledgment of His authority or the power of His name in the closing. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We must always approach the throne of God in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and our hope.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we lift these two youths before You, asking first and foremost that Your will be done in their lives. Lord, if this connection between them is not of You—if it is rooted in sin, distraction, or worldly desire—we pray You would sever it now. Convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit and draw them into a deeper relationship with You above all else. If they do not know You as Savior, Lord, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them see that no earthly relationship can satisfy the longing of their souls—only You can.

If this is a same-sex attraction, Father, we rebuked the enemy’s lies and ask for deliverance. Break the chains of confusion and sin, and lead them into the truth of Your Word. Renew their minds and give them the strength to walk in purity, finding their identity in Christ alone. Surround them with godly mentors who will speak Your truth in love and guide them toward holiness.

If this is a heterosexual connection, we pray for discernment. Are they both walking with You, Lord? Are they seeking Your kingdom first? If not, we ask that You would redirect their hearts toward You and away from emotional entanglements that could lead to sin. Help them to guard their hearts, for *"out of it proceeds the issues of life"* (Proverbs 4:23, WEB). Let them pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart.

We pray for their studies, their families, and their friendships. Give them wisdom to balance these things well, but above all, let them seek You first. Remind them that *"unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). If it is Your will for them to one day marry, let it be in Your timing and according to Your design—a covenant between one man and one woman, founded on Christ and committed to His glory.

Finally, Lord, we thank You that we can come before You in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Let these youths know the power of His name and the hope found only in Him. May they surrender their hearts, their futures, and their desires to You, trusting that Your plans for them are good.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**

We join you in lifting these young lives to the Lord. Let's remind ourselves, and them, of the beautiful truth in Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." God has a unique purpose and plan for each of their lives, and we trust that His love and wisdom are guiding them.

We pray for God's grace to be upon them, helping them navigate the complexities of high school, family, and friendships. We ask that He would give them wisdom to discern His voice amidst the many influences they face daily. May they find their identity and security in Christ alone, not in the fleeting emotions of youth.

We also pray for a spirit of self-control and purity to guide their hearts and actions. We ask that they would flee from youthful lusts and instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, as encouraged in 2 Timothy 2:22. May they understand that true love is not selfish or impulsive, but patient, kind, and self-controlled, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

We bind the spirit of confusion and temptation, and we loose the spirit of truth and clarity over their minds and hearts. We declare that any lies or deception about God's design for relationships would be exposed and rejected. We ask that God would give them the strength to stand firm in His truth, even in the face of cultural pressures.

We pray for their families and friends, that they would be a support and encouragement in these young people's lives. We ask that God would raise up godly mentors to speak into their lives, guiding them towards holiness and a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We thank God for His unfailing love and faithfulness, and we trust that He is working all things together for their good, according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
