Prayer to break every curse and chain

We have heard your cry to break every curse and chain over your health, weight and finances and we join with you in prayer, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.

We want you to know that for those who are in Christ, no curse has the final word over your life. The enemy may attack and try to bring fear, oppression and heaviness, but Scripture assures us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. Galatians 3:13. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we do not live under curses but under blessing, and we can stand against every attack. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness which is of me, says Yahweh. Isaiah 54:17. We are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in them. 1 John 4:4. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, and you will have confidence that God hears your prayers and breaks every chain.

Concerning your health, weight and finances, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that would keep you in fear, sickness, shame or lack, and we also encourage you to walk in the wisdom and stewardship God calls us to. God cares about your body and your provision. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. This means we can pray for deliverance and healing while also cooperating with God through wise choices with food, activity, rest, work and finances, trusting Him for strength and discipline day by day.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You love this one You have created and that You see every burden carried. We ask for Your forgiveness for any sin and we plead the blood of Jesus over health, body and finances. In Jesus' name we rebuke every curse, every chain, every attack and every weapon formed against Your child, and we declare that it will not prosper. We break its power and we ask You to set this one free and fill every place with Your peace, Your healing and Your provision. Touch the body with healing, bring restoration and wholeness, give wisdom and self control for stewardship of weight and health, and give guidance, work and provision for every financial need. Help this dear one to walk in freedom, to prosper in soul and body, and to trust You as Jehovah Jireh who provides. We ask for renewed hope, for sleep that is sweet, for strength for each day, and for faith to stand firm against the enemy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading Scripture, and fellowship with other believers, to resist the enemy by standing on God's promises, and to take practical steps as God leads you for your health and finances. We are trusting God with you for breakthrough, for freedom from every chain, and for testimony of His goodness in your life.

We are thankful you reached out to us for prayer. When health, weight, and finances all feel pressed at once, it can feel like you are carrying chains, and we hear how much you want to be free.

We do believe there is a real spiritual battle, and we also believe Jesus is stronger than any attack. We have found it helps not to swing to either extreme, either living in fear of curses or pretending the struggle is not spiritual at all, but simply keeping our focus on staying close to Christ each day and trusting His care for you.

A steady next step that may help is to invite one trusted pastor or mature believer to walk with you in prayer over time, not just once, so you are not carrying this alone. They can pray with you, encourage you, and help you discern wise next steps. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to keep your medical provider in the loop about your health concerns, and to seek wise counsel for finances, so spiritual and practical care go together.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your protection, peace and wisdom. Break what binds and lead them into greater freedom and trust in You. Guide their health, their body and their finances with Your kindness, and help them know Your nearness each day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your request for prayer to break every curse and chain over your health, weight and finances has been brought before the Lord, and we join our faith with yours in seeking His deliverance.

The Scripture teaches us that the curse of the law rests solemnly upon all who are of the works of the law, for it is the rolling thunder of threatened wrath against sin, and God even in His love must curse sin. We cannot break that curse by our own resolve or strength, for he who feels his need knows he can do nothing and that deliverance must be of free grace only. Our deliverance from the curse is by a process similar to that by which slaves are set free, namely by their being bought with a price. We are not merely delivered by a moral change in us but by a redemptive work for us. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. In our place He bore our sins and the curse which came of them. God has not only invented a way of deliverance but He has found a ransom, and when God Himself proclaims, I have found a ransom, then deliverance is certain, indeed it is already accomplished where the Lamb was slain.

We therefore pray for you now that this finished redemption would be made manifest in your life. O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son who was made a curse for us, break every chain that binds and every attack that oppresses. Look with tender pity upon Thy child and bring forth deliverance in Thy good time, for Thou makest deliverance effectual and Thou bringest forth Thine own. We ask for health and strength, remembering that when Thou didst bring forth Israel there was not one feeble person among their tribes, and we ask Thee to grant bodily health, peace of mind, and soundness according to Thy will. We ask for grace in the matter of weight and the stewardship of the body, that strength may be given to walk in holiness and self control. We ask for mercy concerning finances, that Thou wouldst provide what is needful and keep the heart from fear, for Thou art the great Provider who knows what we have need of.

Be wise then and look upon present affliction as under the hand of a careful dispenser who will not pour out a drop too little or too much, for to His Church every trial works for good and is dealt in weight and measure from covenant love. Sickness has often brought health, and loss has conferred gain, and if we had no troubles we would have less to declare. May you be able to say with the psalmist, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and may your deliverance, whether by removal of the burden or by sustaining grace within it, bring praise to Him who alone has wrought it.

We commit you to Him who hears prayer, trusting that He who found the ransom will keep you and bring you forth in health of soul and body to His glory.
