We join with you in faith and in agreement today and we thank you for humbly asking in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that every prayer is heard.

We stand with you to bless your situation and we pray that the Lord's favor would rest upon you, for you have asked for favor, miracles, and blessings according to His will. We are reminded that you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. Ps 5:12 and that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14. We pray that your desires would be aligned with His perfect will, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Eph 3:20. We encourage you to continue to seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33, trusting that His blessings are not only material but spiritual, bringing peace, joy, and contentment in Christ.

We also join you in praying against the principalities and powers of darkness in high places, just as it is written, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12. We pray that you would be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, putting on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:10-11. We pray for the Lord's protection over you and for His glory to be revealed in your life and all over the world, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea. Hab 2:14.

We lift up this heartfelt prayer together with you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this dear one who seeks Your face. We ask that You would bless their situation according to Your perfect will and pour out Your unmatched favor upon them. We ask for Your miracles and Your abundantly abounding blessings to be made manifest, not for our own glory but for Yours alone. We pray that You would rebuke every principality and power of darkness that would come against them, and that You would let Your light shine and Your glory fill their life, their home, and all over the world. Grant them faith that does not waver, peace that surpasses understanding, and a heart that always gives thanks, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Phil 4:6. We ask that You would show them great and difficult things which they do not know as they call upon You. Jer 33:3. Let Your will be done in their life as it is in heaven. We pray all these things with thanksgiving in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in prayer. We hear your deep desire for God's favor and blessing over your situation, and your longing to see His goodness and glory at work in your life and in the world. That desire to seek Him and to ask for His protection is a good and honest place to come to Him from.

We also hear your concern about spiritual opposition. It can be steadying to remember that God is both near to us when we pray and fully in control over all that is against us. He hears the broad prayers you have lifted, and He also invites us to bring Him the specific places where we most need wisdom, provision, or protection right now.

One simple step that often helps is to take a few minutes each day to name one or two of those specific needs before the Lord and leave them with Him, trusting Him to answer according to His wisdom and love. If you have a local church family, sharing one of those needs with a pastor or a trusted believer there can be a real encouragement as you continue to pray.

We are joining you in faith and will keep you in prayer in the days ahead.

Father, we lift up the one who wrote to us and thank You that You hear when we call on You. We ask for Your mercy, protection, and guidance over their situation, for peace in their heart, and for Your will to be done in their life. Make Your presence known to them and let their life reflect Your goodness. In Jesus' name, amen.

[Spurgeon]

We have lifted your request before the Lord with thanksgiving and have sought His mercy on your behalf.

Your longing for favor and blessing is one that every awakened heart understands, and we do join you in asking that God would be gracious to you. Yet we would gently turn your thoughts to that which the Scripture calls the rarest, the richest and most enduring of all blessings. Temporal blessings are not definite marks of Divine favor, since God gives the corn and wine and oil to the unworthy as well as to the righteous, and they are soon gone. The blessings which endure are spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. All spiritual blessings come from the Father, we have never earned one and could never create one, and they come to us according to His Divine purpose, according as He has chosen us in Him.

Therefore our prayer for you is first for the great miracle of grace, that God would give you a new heart. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in the old heart which is full of enmity to God, but when He comes in Sovereign Grace He has power to accomplish His Divine purpose without violating the will, to make the dry tree flourish and to lift the low tree even to the stars. This is the work that glorifies God most, for it takes as much Divine Energy to make a saint as to create a world. We pray that you would know forgiveness and freedom and favor through the sweet savor of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose merits alone are purely offered unto God and by whom we are accepted.

You asked prayer against principalities and powers of darkness in high places, and we do pray that the Lord who goes before His people would thrust out your enemies. There is Divine work always going on before the people of God, His shield going in front and His sword clearing the way. Yet with that Divine work there is a Divine command, that we should follow where He leads and be obedient to His Word. May He make you watchful against the enchanted ground where indifference steals over the pilgrim, and keep you alive toward Divine things.

We do not ask for glory for ourselves, for God creates that He may display His own perfections. Our prayer is that His glory, not ours, would be seen in you and through you, and that whether He gives much or little of this world's goods, you may be kept restless till you rest in Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and in no other.

We pray that the Lord would bless you indeed with every spiritual blessing, that He would keep you, pardon you, renew you, and cause you to walk in His ways to the praise of the glory of His Grace. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, with thanksgiving.
