We have received your request and we join with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving.

We hear your longing for favor, for miracles, for blessing, for victory over darkness, and for the glory of God to be seen. These are good desires when they are ordered in the right way, so we want to encourage you toward what Scripture teaches about each of them.

The favor we most need is not outward success but the grace of God itself, which we have received freely in Christ. As it is written, freely you have received, freely give. That grace is not a price we pay or a force we claim, but a gift that calls us to live without covetousness and with a clean conscience.

Miracles belong to God. When He works them, He does so as a pledge of His power to confirm His word and to make His kingdom known, and it is as easy for Him to do whatever He wills as it is for us to speak. Yet miracles without a holy life are nothing, and they are not given to feed pride or curiosity. The Lord often teaches first and then confirms His teaching by His works, and He rebukes the heart that seeks signs apart from listening to His word. The faithful are called not to chase wonders, but to trust His teaching and obey it, knowing that He can do all things according to His wisdom.

The warfare you mention is real. We do wrestle against principalities and powers of darkness, but this warfare is a good warfare that is fought with strong faith, sobriety, watchfulness, and obedience to the Scriptures. It requires that we be in battle array, yielding our members not to uncleanness but to righteousness, and standing under our true King. And the glory we pray for is not our own. The glorious triumph is Christ's, who has gone up on high, led captivity captive, and preached deliverance to captives and recovery of sight to the blind. All glory belongs to Him.

So we will pray for you in this way, asking God to bless what is according to His will and to correct and cleanse what is not, for He alone saves through Jesus Christ.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this one who seeks You. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior, that You would show Your true favor, which is Your mercy and forgiveness and Your power to make us holy. If there is any part of this situation that is not according to Your word, bring light, repentance, and restoration. If it is according to Your will, establish it and make it fruitful for Your kingdom.

Grant not miracles for display, but whatever You in Your wisdom see is needed to confirm Your word and to strengthen faith, and give a heart that loves Your teaching more than signs. Clothe this person with Your armor, that he or she may stand against the schemes of the enemy by truth, righteousness, faith, and obedience to Your word. Let Your glory alone be seen, not ours, and let Your name be hallowed in this life and in all the world. Teach us to war a good warfare with perseverance and humility, and to freely share with others the grace we have freely received.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, with thanksgiving, trusting Your perfect will. Amen.
