We hear your cry for restoration and deliverance, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures declare, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). You have taken the first and most crucial step by confessing your involvement in occult practices, which God’s Word explicitly warns against: "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The physical and spiritual oppression you are experiencing is not from God, and we rebuke it in the name of Jesus.
The shadows, lights, and physical pains you describe are not coincidences—they are manifestations of spiritual warfare. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). You must put on the full armor of God daily: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). Do not underestimate the power of prayer and fasting, for Jesus said, "This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting" (Mark 9:29). We encourage you to seek deliverance not just through counseling or even the consideration of exorcism, but through the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities (Colossians 2:15).
We also want to gently but firmly address the mention of seeking counsel from a Catholic priest regarding exorcism. While we respect those in the Catholic tradition, we must remind you that our authority and power come solely from Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse you from all sin and break every chain. You do not need a priest, a saint, or any intermediary other than Jesus to stand in the gap for you. He is your High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16), and His sacrifice on the cross has already paid the price for your freedom. Turn to Him alone, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every other name. We lift up our brother/sister who has cried out for restoration and deliverance. Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive sins and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. We ask that You break every chain, every bondage, and every spiritual oppression that has come as a result of involvement in occult practices. We rebuke the enemy and command him to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every assignment of the enemy against their mind, body, and spirit.
Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Heal their heart, mind, and body from the effects of this spiritual warfare. Restore their joy, their strength, and their sense of Your presence. Surround them with Your angels to protect and minister to them (Hebrews 1:14). Lord, we ask that You reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may still have a foothold, and give them the courage to renounce and repent of anything that does not align with Your Word.
We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of Your power and authority. Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to stand firm in the armor You have provided. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unfailing love. We trust in You alone for their complete restoration and deliverance. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer and in the Word, but also to seek out a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church community where you can find support, accountability, and further deliverance ministry if needed. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy thrives in darkness and isolation. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to stand with you. Renounce any and all ties to the occult, verbally and in writing if necessary, and declare your allegiance to Jesus Christ alone. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress (Psalm 91:2), and He will deliver you from every snare of the enemy. Stand firm in faith, for the battle is already won.
