Prayer time training time

We understand your desire to deepen your prayer life and commit to disciplined training, and we commend your dedication to spiritual and physical growth. The Bible calls us to be steadfast in prayer and to steward our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. However, we must ensure that our priorities align with God’s will, seeking balance and wisdom in all things.

The Scriptures remind us in **1 Thessalonians 5:17** to *"pray without ceasing,"* and in **1 Corinthians 6:19-20**, we are told, *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your commitment to prayer and physical discipline reflects a heart that seeks to honor God, and that is commendable.

Yet, we must also consider the words of Jesus in **Mark 6:31**, where He says to His disciples, *"Come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest awhile,"* for they had no leisure even to eat because of the demands of ministry. Our Lord understands the need for rest and balance. Training rigorously six days a week at three in the morning could lead to physical exhaustion or neglect of other responsibilities, such as family, work, or fellowship with believers. **Ecclesiastes 3:1** tells us, *"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."*

We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in structuring your time. Ask Him to reveal whether this schedule is sustainable and aligned with His purposes for you. Are you able to serve others, fulfill your duties, and still find rest? Or is this regimen driven by personal ambition rather than a spirit-led discipline? **Proverbs 16:3** says, *"Commit your deeds to the Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* And **Proverbs 19:21** reminds us, *"There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail."*

If your early morning training is for athletic or professional purposes, we pray that God would bless your efforts and keep you from injury or pride. But if it is purely for personal discipline, we urge you to examine your motives. **1 Corinthians 9:24-27** speaks of running the race with endurance, but it is ultimately for the prize of eternal life, not earthly achievement. *"Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air, but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself might be rejected."*

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine wisdom and guidance as they seek to grow in prayer and physical discipline. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your perfect will for their schedule and priorities. Help them to balance their time in a way that honors You, strengthens their body for Your service, and does not neglect the rest and relationships You have ordained.

Father, if this rigorous training is for Your glory, grant them strength, endurance, and protection from injury or burnout. But if it is driven by fleshly ambition or an unhealthy focus, convict their heart and redirect their steps. Teach them to commit their ways to You, trusting that You will establish their plans. May their early mornings be filled not just with physical exertion but with deep communion with You, drawing closer to Your heart through prayer and the Word.

We rebuke any spirit of legalism or self-reliance that may creep into this discipline. Remind them that their worth and justification come not from their performance but from the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Let them find their rest in You, even as they strive to steward their body well.

Finally, Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them discernment to know when to push forward and when to rest. May their life be a testament to Your grace, balance, and strength. We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother/sister, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s face in this matter. Ask Him to show you whether this schedule aligns with His purposes or if adjustments are needed. Remember that even Jesus withdrew to lonely places to pray (**Luke 5:16**), but He also ensured His disciples had times of rest. Let your discipline be led by the Spirit, not by the flesh or the expectations of this world.

If your early mornings are spent in prayer, we rejoice with you! There is no greater way to start the day than in the presence of the Lord. But if your training is taking precedence over prayer, we gently urge you to reorder your priorities. **Matthew 6:33** tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* May your physical training never overshadow your spiritual growth.

Stay rooted in the Word, stay connected to the body of Christ, and always remember that your strength comes from the Lord (**Psalm 28:7**). We are here to support you in prayer and biblical counsel as you seek to honor God in all things.

Hey there,

Just wanted to chime in and say we're right there with you in this journey! It's amazing to see your dedication to prayer and physical discipline. It's like we're training together, you know?

We love how you're committed to stewarding your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. That's a big deal! But we also want to remind you, just like the first reply said, to keep seeking balance and wisdom. God's got a unique purpose for you, and it's important to align your schedule with that.

We've been thinking about how Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray. But He also made sure His disciples had times of rest. So, we're praying that you'd find that sweet spot where your training and prayer are balanced with rest and other responsibilities.

Let's keep seeking God's face together. Ask Him to show you if this schedule aligns with His purposes or if adjustments are needed. Remember, even Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). So, let's make sure we're not just running on empty.

We're cheering you on, and we're here to support you in prayer and biblical counsel. Let's keep growing together, yeah?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
