Amusements
Some pleasures lift the soul while others drag it down so choose those that strengthen rather than destroy.
We join you in prayer and thank God for your generous and giving heart in wanting to donate your vase to bless others. We pray together that if it is according to His will, your vase has safely reached Thailand from the little red dot and that its journey there is complete, and we ask the Lord to oversee its handling.

We lift up The Foundation to the Lord, asking that He would give them wisdom and skill to restore your vase and that He would use its sale to truly bless others and to bless another Christian family in Thailand, prolonging its usefulness for His glory. We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 9:7 that God loves a cheerful giver, and in 1 Timothy 6:18 to be rich in good works, to be generous to others and ready to share. We pray that your donation would lay up treasure in heaven and not on earth, as taught in Matthew 6:20, and that God would use it as a testimony of His love and provision.

We also want to gently and lovingly address something in your request when you mention doing merits. In Scripture we are taught that we are not saved or made right with God by earning merits through good deeds or donations, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast in Ephesians 2:8-9. Our good works and generosity flow from love and thankfulness because we have already been saved, not to earn favor. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men in Colossians 3:23.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to encourage you with the truth that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for this gift and the heart behind it. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You have guided this vase safely to the land of smiles and that You would bless the hands that restore it. Lord, use this donation to provide for and bless a Christian family in Thailand and to further Your work through The Foundation. Let it be a blessing that points others to Your generosity and grace, not to human merit, but to Your goodness. Help us all to trust You in all our ways as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, and to give with joyful hearts for Your glory. We ask this in the precious and only name that saves, in Jesus name, amen.

We rejoice with you in this thanksgiving. To see something you treasured in the little red dot now safely in the land of smiles, entrusted to a Foundation to be restored and passed on, is a beautiful picture of letting go so others can be blessed. We hear your heart that it would have a longer life and serve a Christian family there, bringing its journey to a good close.

What you describe is generosity in its simplest form, giving freely without holding back and trusting God to multiply the good beyond what we can see. The value now is not in the vase itself but in the care it represents as it is renewed and shared.

If it would encourage you, a brief, gracious note to the Foundation to confirm its safe arrival and restoration plans can give you settled peace while you leave the outcome in the Lord's hands.

Father in Jesus' name, we thank You with our friend for the safe arrival of this gift in Thailand. We ask You to guide the hands that restore it and to use it to bless the family who will receive it, providing for their needs and reminding them of Your kindness. Give our friend continued joy in having given freely, and let this vase's next chapter be one of usefulness and encouragement. Amen.

We join you in prayer and thanksgiving for this gift offered in love, and we ask the Lord to make it a true blessing.

It is a good thing to desire that what has been given should be used as faithful stewardship, for nothing is our own, it is all our Master's, and all of us according as we are put into the stewardship must labor for the good of all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Your desire that this vase, having finished its journey in the little red dot and having come now to the land of smiles, should be restored and sold to bless another Christian family in Thailand and to prolong its usefulness, is in keeping with that stewardship which seeks not to waste what God has entrusted but to make it overflow with blessing for those around us.

We pray that if it be according to His wise providence, the vase has already safely reached Thailand, and that the Foundation there will be given wisdom and care to restore it well and to order its sale with honesty and diligence. We pray that the Lord, who has blessed us just where we needed blessing and where we were poorest in spiritual things, would use this simple donation to provide practically for a household of faith and to encourage them in the Lord. As it is written, when God has blessed any man, He makes that man to be a blessing to others, and we pray this vessel may in its measure become such a blessing, that those who receive it may be reminded that every good gift comes from above.

We would gently remind you also, as you speak of doing merits, that no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance, nor by our own merit, but the double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not saved nor heard because of merits we offer, but because of the merit of Christ alone, who loved us and gave Himself for us. Our good works and our donations do not purchase favor, but they are the grateful response of those already blessed in Christ, and by His grace we may then be made a blessing. So we do not seek to lay up merit, but to bless Him who gave us our life, and to win hearts to Him through His mighty grace blessing our service.

Therefore we pray that the Lord would bless this donation to His glory, that it would be a testimony of Christian love from one land to another, and that whether in Singapore or in Thailand, our lives may be spent in blessing God who has so abundantly blessed us in Christ. May the Lord add His blessing for Jesus sake.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer over this gift and its journey, giving thanks for your generous heart to donate the vase so that others may be blessed and its use may be prolonged.

We pray that the vase has arrived safely in Thailand and that the Lord will guide the hands of those at the Foundation as they restore it. We ask that God, who is the cause of all good things, would provide a buyer and use the proceeds to bless a Christian family there and to further faithful work in that land. As Scripture calls such generosity a blessing, we pray this act of giving would indeed be a blessing to many and bring honor to Christ.

We also want to gently encourage you in the language of doing merits. Scripture teaches that every spiritual blessing comes not by our own merits or by the hand of Moses, but by Christ Jesus. We are made sons and heirs, forgiven and made righteous, not because we earn favor, but because Christ has freely given all things to us. Our good deeds and alms do not earn salvation, they flow from the salvation we have already received in Him. So we do not ask God to bless merit as a way to earn favor, but we do ask Him to bless generosity that comes from faith and love for Him, that it may bear fruit for His glory.

Therefore we pray in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only Mediator and hope:

Father, we thank you for this vase and for its journey from the little red dot to the land of smiles. If it has not yet arrived, we ask for its safe delivery. Grant wisdom to those who will restore it, and provide for its sale according to your will. Use what is given to strengthen believers, to show your love, and to remind all who see it that our true treasure is the spiritual blessing we have in Christ. Help us to stand apart from trust in our own merits and to rest fully in your grace, living then with generous and thankful hearts. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
