Thank you for sharing this prayer and for inviting others to stand with you in faith. It is good to bring your actions and reactions before the Lord, because God cares not only about what we do outwardly but about the attitude of the heart from which those actions flow. Scripture teaches that the law is spiritual, and the Lord looks at the faith and the heart that prompts what we do. True faith will show itself in how we live, for faith without works is lifeless, but it is the trust in Christ that God counts as righteousness, and then He works in us to shape both our motives and our deeds.
Your desire to pray against principalities and powers is right and biblical. Our real battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness at work in this world. There is a constant conflict between good and evil in the unseen realm, and often we feel the pressure or unrest from that warfare without understanding why. For that kind of battle we need spiritual weapons, not human methods. God has provided those weapons and they are mighty through Him to pull down strongholds.
The key to victory is not striving in our own strength but resting in what Jesus has already accomplished. On the cross He triumphed over those principalities and powers and made an open display of His victory. When we abide in Him, His victory becomes our victory. Scripture says thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ and who always causes us to triumph in Christ. As we rejoice in that finished work, discouragement lifts and faith rises. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
So we join with you in prayer that the Lord would guard your heart and guide your actions and reactions, that they would spring from love, mercy, purity and peace, and that He would give you power to walk in victory in any area where the flesh struggles for control. We ask Him to cover you with His spiritual protection, to equip you with His weapons of prayer, the Word, and rejoicing in Christ, and to keep you from being drawn into fighting in merely human ways.
We also pray that you would know how blessed you are in Christ. The word blessed means oh how happy, and that happiness does not come from outward circumstances but from trusting in the Lord and finding your strength in Him. When we see our own need and put our trust in Him, we discover His strength made perfect in our weakness. Like those who have gone before us, we can say we are not worthy of the least of His mercies, yet He has blessed us abundantly in Jesus, in whom all nations are blessed. May you experience that blessing everywhere you go, when you come in and when you go out, and may His favor and mercy go before you.
We stand in agreement that God would work miracles according to His perfect will, that His glory would be seen, and that you would walk this week in the joy and triumph that are already yours in Jesus. May you know His peace, His power for victory, and His abounding blessing in every way. In Jesus name, amen.
