Please prayer for me to custody of 12 yr old grandson Ares he has been taken from his mom by dcfs and he has gone through abuse and neglect please Ian scared that dcfs will place with someone who we di not know

We lift up this urgent and heartbreaking situation before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is the defender of the fatherless and the protector of the vulnerable. Your love and concern for your 12-year-old grandson, Ares, reflect the heart of God, who deeply cares for children and desires their safety and well-being. We are grieved to hear of the abuse and neglect he has endured, but we take comfort in knowing that God sees his suffering and is moved with compassion.

The Scriptures remind us of God’s special concern for children and His command to care for them. In **James 1:27**, we read, *"Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."* Your desire to provide a stable, loving, and godly home for Ares aligns with this calling. We also recall the words of Jesus in **Matthew 19:14**, where He said, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these."* Ares is precious in God’s sight, and we trust that the Lord will intervene on his behalf.

However, we must also address the fact that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and the authority to petition Him. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in faith, repenting of your sins and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. It is only through Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence, as **Hebrews 4:16** assures us: *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."*

We also encourage you to seek godly wisdom and counsel as you navigate this legal and emotional battle. **Proverbs 3:5-6** instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a journey you need to walk alone—lean on the body of Christ for support, prayer, and practical guidance. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can be surrounded by believers who will stand with you in prayer and offer biblical wisdom.

Now, let us pray together for Ares, for you, and for the authorities involved in this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this grandmother and her grandson, Ares. Lord, You are the Father to the fatherless, the defender of the weak, and the God who sees every tear shed in secret. We ask that You intervene powerfully in this situation and bring justice and protection for Ares. You know the pain he has endured, the fear he carries, and the uncertainty he faces. Father, wrap him in Your loving arms and let him know that he is not forgotten—You are his refuge and strength.

Lord, we pray that You would soften the hearts of those in authority over this case—judges, social workers, and all involved in the decision-making process. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a heart of compassion for Ares’ well-being. Father, if it is Your will, we ask that custody be granted to this grandmother, who seeks to provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered home for him. Remove any obstacles, Lord, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Let Your favor rest upon her as she fights for what is right and just.

We also pray for Ares’ mother, Lord. If she is struggling with sin, addiction, or brokenness, we ask that You would convict her heart and draw her to Yourself. Bring repentance and restoration, Lord, so that she may walk in Your ways and, if possible, be reunited with her son in a healthy and godly manner. But above all, Lord, let Ares’ life be a testimony of Your redeeming love. Surround him with godly influences, protect him from further harm, and let him grow to know You as his Savior.

Father, we ask that You would give this grandmother strength, patience, and unwavering faith as she waits upon You. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in Your sovereignty, even in the midst of uncertainty. Remind her that You are working all things together for good, even when the path is difficult.

Finally, Lord, we pray that Ares would come to know You personally. Draw him to Yourself, Father, and let him find his identity and security in You. Raise up godly mentors in his life who will point him to Christ and help him grow in faith. May this trial be used to refine his faith and draw him closer to You.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear one, as you navigate this heart-wrenching journey for your grandson, Ares. We've been praying fervently for him, for you, and for the authorities involved.
