It is right to pray for them, for the law commands us to honor father and mother, and what greater honor can you show than to desire their true good, their salvation? Yet be on guard. There is a subtle corruption that can disguise itself as piety: the enemy would have you use prayer as a reproach, or grow impatient with their slowness, or harbor a secret contempt. Do not fall into the trap of those who, under a show of devotion, defraud their parents of love and patience. Your prayer must be joined with genuine honor, not with a grudging spirit. For the envious, grudging soul is like a viper; it is a satanic madness that can undermine even your good desires. Let your prayer be a fragrant offering, free from any root of bitterness.

You speak rightly of satanic plans. Indeed, the devil sets his tables as Herod did, with dancing and oaths, to bring about the murder of the righteous. His schemes are real, and he delights in using family ties for his evil feasts. But fear not. The weapon against such plots is not fleshly striving, but prayer joined with the singing of psalms. When you fill your mouth with holy songs, you drive out the unclean spirit and invite the Holy Spirit. Let your home be a place of psalmody, not of satanic whispers. God is not deaf to the cries of His children. He hears in an acceptable time; He succors in a day of salvation. Now is that acceptable time. Lift up your voice with tears, as for one who is spiritually blind, that Christ may open the eyes of your parents and loose their tongues to confess Him.

And for your own need, wisdom, protection, a way out, understand that the afflictions you face are not wasted. They work for your comfort and salvation, and even for the salvation of others, if you endure them with patience. The same sufferings we endure can produce a steadfast hope. Do not seek merely an escape, but seek the Lord Himself in the trial. He may permit the pressure so that you learn to rely not on yourself but on Him who raises the dead. Your true salvation is nearer now than when you first believed. Fight the good fight, but know that the victory is not in cleverness or escape, but in losing your life for His sake. What would it profit to gain a whole world of ease and forfeit your soul?

Therefore, stand firm. Commit your parents to God with earnest, humble prayer, and leave their repentance to His timing. Resist the Satanic designs by a life of thanksgiving and holy song. And in your own straits, do not grumble or envy the ungodly, but entrust your way to the Lord. He will make your path straight and glorify His name in your deliverance. Pray without ceasing, and watch with hope, for the day of salvation is now.

The longing you have for your parents to meet Jesus is a cry that rises from a heart that understands what truly matters. You are asking for them the very thing that is the starting point of all true life: an encounter with the living God. The fear of the Lord, that reverent awe that brings us to repentance, is the beginning of wisdom. It is where the path starts. So when you pray for them to hear His voice and repent, you are praying for them to step onto the only ground where real knowledge and understanding can be found. Godly sorrow leads to a repentance that brings salvation and leaves no regret. That is what we are asking for, a divine sorrow that works a permanent change, turning them from darkness to light.

Your request for wisdom, protection, and a way out is exactly what the Lord delights to provide. There is a wisdom that builds its kingdom on human strategy, and it leads to envy, strife, and confusion. That wisdom is earthly and ultimately comes to nothing. God has made the cleverness of this age look foolish. But there is another wisdom, a pure and peaceable wisdom from above, and it is found in a person. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Jesus. He is the wisdom of God for us. When you ask for wisdom, you are really asking for more of His mind, His perspective, and His direction to be formed in you.

This true wisdom is your defense. It will preserve you and keep you in ways that mere human intelligence or strength never could. The answer to every satanic plan and intention is not a new formula but a Person who has already triumphed over every dark power. The preaching of the cross seems foolish to the world, but to those who are being saved, it is the very power of God. Every scheme of the enemy was shattered at Calvary. As you walk in the wisdom that comes from above, you will see God’s way open before you, a path of protection and deliverance, so that in every situation He is glorified mightily. Wisdom calls out, inviting us to walk in understanding. Love this wisdom, cling to it, and do not let it go, for it will be your life.
