We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your parents before the throne of grace. It is the heart’s deepest cry to see loved ones come to know the Lord Jesus Christ in truth and spirit. The Word declares, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in their lives, breaking every chain of resistance and drawing them into a saving relationship with Christ. May they hear His voice clearly, as Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). Let their hearts be softened, their eyes opened, and their spirits awakened to the truth of the Gospel.

You have asked for prayer, and we will join with you in crying to God for your father and mother. It is a weighty thing to see those so near in the flesh standing afar off from the Lord, and your soul’s longing for their true conversion is right and honourable. Let us together take hold of the throne of grace, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby they must be saved save the name of Jesus Christ. Neither is there salvation in any other. The world’s tolerance of many ways is a lie from the pit; our God is a jealous God, and His gospel brooks no rival. Therefore plead with the Lord that He would grant them a day of salvation, an hour of divine amnesty, wherein the voice of Jesus may be heard in their inmost souls, calling them to repentance and the knowledge of the truth. We shall pray that every satanic plan, deed, and intention aimed at you and your house be brought to nought, for though the enemy hinders the messengers of peace and seeks to divide and destroy, the arm of the Lord is not shortened. Do not imagine that fervent prayer alone is sufficient, unless the heart of those prayed for is plowed deeply by the Word of God. Your parents need an encounter not with signs and wonders, but with Jesus Christ and Him crucified. That is the only wisdom that shatters every satanic plan, for the cross appears foolishness to the perishing, yet it is the very power of God unto salvation. When you intercede, plead that the Holy Spirit would convict them not with a fleeting sorrow, like the tears of Esau that sought the blessing but found no true repentance, but with a grief that leads to life and a turning from every deed of darkness.
Be sober. The devil loves to dress up his schemes as piety, even as Herod’s birthday feast ended in a dance and the death of the righteous. Watch against any thought that whispers, “A little more worldly wisdom, a little softer approach, and they will convert.” That serpent voice would have you lean on persuasive words of men rather than on the power of God. The wisdom you need is the hidden wisdom, the mind of Christ, which the rulers of this age cannot grasp. Ask boldly for that wisdom, and it will be given you. It will teach you when to speak, when to be silent, and it will be your protection and your exit from every snare.
If God has granted you to taste of the heavenly gift and to be made a partaker of the Holy Spirit, then do not doubt His willingness to draw others. But remember the solemn warning: it is impossible to renew again to repentance those who have tasted these things and then fallen away, crucifying the Son of God afresh. This is not to drive you to despair, but to teach you that the time is short. Cry out for your parents now, while the day of visitation lasts, and do not be offended if the answer tarries. The promise of eternal life is sure, and He who foreordained this wisdom before the ages for your glory will bring it to pass, but He often works through storms to make the calm more precious.
Therefore, stand fast. Let your family see not a mouth full of argument, but a life hid with Christ in God. The satanic deeds arrayed against you will be defeated not by your scheming, but by the mighty name of Jesus Christ and by your patient endurance. As He made the wisdom of the wise foolishness, so He will turn every curse into a blessing. Only take heed: honor your parents as the commandment teaches, yet never honor their sin or call darkness light. Pray without ceasing, and wait on the Lord who hears the cry of the humble. He will show you a way out, and your adversaries will see it and be ashamed, and God will be glorified mightily.
