We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your parents before the throne of grace. It is the heart of God that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened, that they may know the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:18). May the Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and may they hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, who calls His own by name and leads them out (John 10:3).
Father, we rebuke every satanic plan, deed, and intention set against this family. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and defeated by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11).
Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom to this dear one, as Solomon prayed for wisdom and discernment to govern Your people (1 Kings 3:9). Surround them with Your protection, for You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). Make a way where there seems to be no way, for You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Guide their steps according to Your will, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We must also emphasize the power and necessity of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in His name that we are justified and have access to the Father (Romans 5:1-2). If your parents do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all true repentance and transformation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We lift up these parents to You, asking that You would draw them with cords of lovingkindness. Break every chain of darkness that blinds them to the truth of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Let the scales fall from their eyes so they may see the glory of God in the face of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6). Father, we ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon them, that they may be born again and become new creations in Christ (John 3:3, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
We stand against every assignment of the enemy over this family. We cancel every curse, every plot, and every lie that has been spoken against them. In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of confusion, division, and destruction to flee. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and deliver them from every evil work (Psalm 34:7, 2 Timothy 4:18).
Grant this dear one wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). Protect them from the snares of the enemy and lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Open doors that no one can shut, and close doors that no one can open, according to Your perfect will (Revelation 3:7-8).
We thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that this family is more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in their midst, just as it is in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Walk in love, patience, and perseverance, trusting that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Keep your heart steadfast, for the Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18).
