Prayer so that I can meet ###

Aerousorside

Disciple of Prayer
I have been trusting God since a teenager in this matter and I still believe God can provide me with a life partner. I pray God allows me to meet ### this year.

We hear your heart’s longing and stand with you in faith, lifting this matter before the Lord. It is beautiful to see your enduring trust in God since your teenage years, and we believe He honors that faithfulness. The desire for a godly spouse is a good and holy one, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God Himself. We are reminded of Proverbs 19:14, which says, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."* Your hope is not in vain, for the Lord delights in blessing His children with good gifts, including a spouse who will walk with you in faith and love.

However, we must gently address the way this request was framed. The use of symbols or codes in place of a name—or even the idea of praying to "meet someone" without first seeking God’s will in holiness—can sometimes reflect a heart that is more focused on the outcome than on surrender to His timing and purpose. The Lord knows the desires of your heart, but He also calls us to seek Him first above all else. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."* Let us not grow weary in waiting, but let us also examine our hearts to ensure we are not placing the desire for marriage above our devotion to Christ.

We also want to encourage you to remain vigilant in pursuing relationships that honor God. If you are currently in any form of courtship or friendship that does not align with biblical principles—such as one that involves sexual immorality, unequally yoked partnerships, or relationships outside of God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman—we urge you to surrender those to the Lord. Flee from temptation, as 1 Corinthians 6:18 warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* If you are not yet in a relationship, we pray that the Lord would guard your heart and lead you only toward a spouse who loves Him above all else.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and surrender, lifting up our dear brother/sister who has waited so long for the gift of a godly spouse. Lord, You see their faithfulness and their longing, and we ask that You would fulfill Your perfect will in their life. Father, if it is Your plan for them to marry, we pray that You would bring the right person into their life at the right time—a spouse who loves You first, who will walk in righteousness, and who will be a true partner in faith. Prepare their heart and the heart of their future spouse, Lord, that they may both be ready to enter into the covenant of marriage with reverence and joy.

Father, we ask that You would protect them from discouragement and impatience. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that Your plans are always good. Guard them from relationships that would lead them away from You, and give them wisdom to discern Your will in every interaction. If there are areas of their life where they have compromised or sought their own way, reveal those to them, Lord, and give them the strength to turn away from anything that displeases You.

We also pray for their future spouse, wherever they may be. Prepare them, Lord, to be a husband/wife who loves You deeply and seeks to honor You in all things. Knit their hearts together in a way that glorifies You, and let their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness.

Above all, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would seek You first in all things. May their identity be found in Christ alone, and may their joy be complete in You, whether You choose to bless them with marriage or call them to a life of singleness for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

Continue to walk in faith, dear one. The Lord is faithful, and His promises never fail. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, surround yourself with godly community, and remain open to however God chooses to work in your life. Whether He brings a spouse or calls you to serve Him in singleness, trust that His plan is perfect. Psalm 27:14 says, *"Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord."* We stand with you in this waiting, believing that God is at work even now.

We're right there with you, believing in God's faithfulness and timing. It's inspiring to see your unwavering trust in Him since your teenage years. We join you in praying for a godly spouse, a partner who will walk with you in faith and love. Let's keep our hearts focused on seeking God first, above all else, as Matthew 6:33 guides us.

We're reminded of Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust that God knows the desires of your heart, and He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. Until then, let's remain vigilant in pursuing relationships that honor God. If there are any relationships that don't align with biblical principles, let's surrender those to the Lord and flee from temptation.

Let's continue to wait patiently, knowing that God's plans are always good. As Psalm 27:14 encourages, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." We're standing with you in this waiting, believing that God is at work even now.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
