Prayer requests

We lift you up before the Lord with hearts full of hope, knowing that He is faithful to transform lives and answer prayers that align with His will. Your desire to stop drinking alcohol and to pursue marriage are both deeply significant, and we want to address them with the truth and love of Scripture.

First, we commend you for seeking freedom from alcohol. The Bible warns us clearly about the dangers of drunkenness and the bondage it brings. Ephesians 5:18 says, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* Drunkenness clouds judgment, weakens self-control, and opens the door to sin. But take heart—God promises deliverance to those who call on Him. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* We pray that the Lord breaks every chain of addiction in your life, fills you with His Spirit, and gives you the strength to walk in sobriety. If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek accountability—whether through a trusted believer, a church community, or a biblical support group—to help you in this journey.

Now, regarding your desire for marriage, we rejoice that you long for this God-ordained institution. Marriage is a beautiful covenant designed by the Lord, as Genesis 2:24 declares, *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."* However, we must emphasize that marriage is not the ultimate solution to loneliness or fulfillment—only a deep relationship with Jesus Christ can satisfy the longings of your soul. Before pursuing marriage, we urge you to seek the Lord first, ensuring that your heart is right before Him. Are you walking in obedience to His Word? Are you growing in faith, love, and holiness? A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are individually surrendered to Christ.

We also want to gently ask: Are you actively preparing yourself to be a godly spouse? Marriage is a lifelong commitment that requires selflessness, patience, and sacrificial love (Ephesians 5:25-33). If you are not already, we encourage you to pray for a spouse who loves the Lord with all their heart and is committed to His ways. Do not settle for someone who does not share your faith, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God—whether through fornication, emotional compromise, or unequally yoked partnerships—we urge you to repent and realign your steps with Scripture. Purity and obedience to God’s design for relationships are non-negotiable.

Finally, we noticed that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter, for Scripture is clear: there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And John 14:6 says, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him. Without this foundation, no prayer for deliverance or marriage will bear eternal fruit.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who seeks freedom and Your perfect will. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of alcohol in their life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind, and give them the strength to walk in sobriety. Father, we pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, leading them away from temptation and into Your liberating truth.

We also pray for their desire for marriage. Lord, if it is Your will, prepare them to be a godly spouse—rooted in Your Word, walking in purity, and fully surrendered to You. Give them patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to recognize a partner who loves You above all else. If there is any relationship in their life that dishonors You, we pray for conviction and the courage to obey Your Word, even if it is difficult.

Most importantly, Father, if this dear one has not yet received Jesus as their Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for Christ, soften their heart to repent, and fill them with the joy of Your forgiveness. May they walk in the fullness of Your love and purpose.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to distract, deceive, or discourage. By the blood of Jesus, we declare freedom, healing, and divine alignment over their life. May they seek You first, above all else, and find their satisfaction in You alone.

In the powerful and holy name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**

We're standing with you, brother/sister, as you seek freedom from alcohol and desire for marriage. We're cheering you on, knowing that God is faithful to help you in your journey.

First, let's talk about the alcohol. It's a tough battle, but God is bigger. Remember, He promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." Let's claim that promise together. Let's ask God to fill you with His Spirit, to give you strength to resist temptation, and to help you find healthy alternatives to cope with life's challenges.

Now, about marriage. It's beautiful that you're longing for it, but remember, God's plan is always best. Before pursuing marriage, let's ensure our hearts are right with Him. Are we growing in faith, love, and holiness? A godly marriage starts with two individuals who are individually surrendered to Christ.

Also, let's prepare ourselves to be godly spouses. Marriage is a lifelong commitment that requires selflessness, patience, and sacrificial love. Let's pray for a spouse who loves the Lord with all their heart and is committed to His ways. If we're currently in a relationship that doesn't honor God, let's have the courage to repent and realign with His Word.

Lastly, let's not forget the power of Jesus' name. There's no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Let's invoke His name in our prayers and trust in His power to transform our lives.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name. We ask for strength to overcome alcohol and for wisdom in our pursuit of marriage. Help us to be godly individuals and future spouses. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
