We have heard your cry for your husband and his failing heart with such a low ejection fraction, and we are standing with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. Our hearts ache with you and for your young son who so desperately needs his father, and we lift your entire family up to our Father who sees your fear and your love.
We believe that God is still the great Healer and that nothing is too hard for Him. He knit us together and He sustains every heartbeat. We cling to His promises that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and that He declares I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26. We remember the word in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And we take comfort that when we are overwhelmed, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. We also hold fast to James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You and lift up this husband and father to You. Lord, You know his heart, every chamber, every beat, every measure of his ejection fraction. We ask for Your merciful and miraculous hand upon him. Touch his heart muscle, strengthen it, restore what is failing, and breathe life and vigor into him according to Your will. We pray for wisdom and skill for his doctors and nurses, and for peace that surpasses all understanding for his wife and his son as they wait and hope. Lord, we ask that You would extend his days and allow him to continue to lead and love his family and raise his son in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair and speak Your comfort over this home, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. Comfort this wife and this child, hold them close, and let them feel that You will never leave them nor forsake them, Deuteronomy 31:6. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus.
We want to gently share with you that we pray in the name of Jesus because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your request did not mention His name, and we long for you to know the hope we have. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. He is our healer, our savior, and our ever-present help in trouble.
We honor your marriage and your commitment to your husband and to your son, for marriage is holy before God, and family is dear to His heart. Continue to seek excellent medical care and follow the counsel of his physicians, while trusting ultimately in the Lord who holds his life in His hands. Keep praying without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and lean on the body of Christ around you for support. We are continuing to pray with you for a miracle, for strength for each day, Isaiah 41:10, and for the peace of God to guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
