We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness endures forever. We lift up your requests together before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.
We thank God for your marriage and your heart to pray for your wife's health. Marriage is a holy covenant before God between a man and a woman, and your intercession for her is honoring to Him. We pray for her healing and strength, for the Lord is our healer. We claim the promise that He will restore health and heal wounds, Jeremiah 30:17, and we pray that she will prosper in all things and be healthy, even as her soul prospers, 3 John 1:2. We ask the Lord to touch her body, to give wisdom to any physicians, and to grant her peace and renewed vigor.
We also bring before the Lord your need for good rest. He understands our frame and knows we need restoration. We pray that He will grant you peaceful and refreshing sleep, for He gives sleep to His beloved, Psalm 127:2. We pray that you may lie down and sleep in peace, for He alone makes you dwell in safety, Psalm 4:8, and that you will find rest for your soul as you come to Him when weary and burdened, Matthew 11:28.
We lift up the loved one you mentioned for protection. We ask the Lord to be a shield about them, to keep them from all evil and to guard their going out and coming in, Psalm 121:7-8. We pray that they will dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper.
We bring your financial needs and your car issue before our Father who owns all things and knows our needs. We ask for His favor and provision, for He will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We pray for wisdom as you seek a cost effective solution, for if any of us lacks wisdom we can ask of God who gives to all liberally, James 1:5. We pray for honest and fair dealings, for good stewardship, and for peace as you cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7.
We want to gently and lovingly address your request against lustful thoughts, for this is a battle many face and God calls us to purity. The Lord sees the heart and calls us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. Jesus taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. We are called to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to make a covenant with our eyes as Job did, Job 31:1. This is not to condemn you but to encourage you to walk in freedom, for God has provided a way of escape. We encourage you to renew your mind daily, to think on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report, Philippians 4:8, to guard your heart, to avoid sources of temptation, to fill your mind with the Word, and to seek accountability with a trusted brother in Christ. If you stumble, confess and repent, for if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you, Psalm 51:10.
We noticed your prayer was addressed to Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by His blood and His name that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your goodness and mercy. We ask You to grant our brother deep and peaceful rest, to heal and strengthen his wife, to place Your hand of protection upon his loved one, to provide financially and to guide him to a wise and affordable solution for his car. We ask You to cleanse his mind, to give him strength to flee temptation, to purify his thoughts and to help him walk in holiness and in honor toward You and toward his wife. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with peace that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and help him to fix his eyes on Jesus. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
