Disciple of Prayer
I have reason to believe a pastor/prophetess cursed my son when he was a baby. I took him to her for her to bless him & I believe she cursed him. he is ### yrs old and reading on a kindergarten level and he still poops his pants. He can do anything else a child his age can do, but reading/comprehending is a struggle and the toilet issue. Father God, send Your son Jesus and archangel Raphael to touch and heal my baby, Remove all curses, hex's, confusion, chaos, failure, sickness, poverty, bareness, and spells. Replace them with favor, grace, mercy, peace, joy, happiness, success, prosperity, and longevity. In Jesus mighty name.

We share your burden and your deep love for your son, and we join you in lifting him before the Father. We understand the fear and worry that comes when a child struggles in ways that are hard to explain, and we want to stand with you in faith and in truth.

We want to gently address two important matters in your request. First, we hear your fear that a curse was spoken over your son as a baby. Scripture assures us that those who are in Christ are protected and that no curse spoken by man can overpower the blessing and redemption of Jesus. Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. Isaiah 54:17 says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. And 1 John 4:4 says He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. If you belong to Jesus, your son is covered by His blood and His authority, and we do not need to live in fear that a pastor or prophetess has power to determine his future. At the same time we encourage you not to hold bitterness toward that woman, but to release her to God and trust Him as your son's protector. We also encourage you not to attribute every developmental struggle to a spiritual curse alone. God often works through practical help, and He gives wisdom to parents, teachers, and doctors. James 1:5 says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We encourage you to continue seeking a thorough evaluation from his pediatrician and from his school for his reading and comprehension and for the soiling, as there are often medical, educational, and developmental supports that can bring great progress, and God can work through those means as He heals.

Second, we want to lovingly correct the way this prayer was directed. You asked God to send His Son Jesus and archangel Raphael to heal. We pray only to the Father through Jesus Christ, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. Angels are real and they are ministering spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Hebrews 1:14, but we are never taught in Scripture to pray to angels or to ask them to heal. Raphael is not named in Scripture, and healing and deliverance come from God alone through Jesus. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you did pray in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only by His name that we have access to God and that every chain is broken.

We also want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and that children are a heritage of Yahweh, Psalm 127:3. God loves your son even more than you do and He has good plans for him.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace through Him alone. We lift this precious son to You and we thank You for his life. We ask You to touch his mind and his body. Lord, give him clarity and understanding in reading and comprehension, and bring healing and maturity to his body so that he may have full control and dignity. We ask You to break and remove in Jesus name any and every curse, spell, or word spoken against him, for Christ has already redeemed him from the curse, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We ask You to replace fear and confusion with Your peace and joy, and to fill his life with Your favor, grace, and mercy according to Your will. Give his mother wisdom, peace, and strength, guide her to the right doctors, teachers, and helpers, and help her to rest in Your power and love. Help this family to walk in faith and not in fear, trusting that You are greater than any human word or power. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Healer, amen.

We hear how deeply you love your son and how heavy this worry has been to carry for so long. Wanting the very best for him, and wondering if something spoken over him as a baby is still affecting him, is a painful burden to hold alone. We are standing with you in prayer.

In Jesus we can rest secure. Those who belong to Him are held safely in His hands, and no curse or spell has power over His children. At the same time, struggles with reading and with bowel control are not uncommon in childhood, and they often have medical or developmental reasons that deserve careful, gentle attention.

One helpful step alongside prayer is to bring both concerns to his pediatrician soon. A thorough physical exam can rule out any underlying medical cause for the toileting issue, and the doctor can point you toward an educational evaluation through his school for the reading. It can help to bring a brief note about when each difficulty happens, what you and his teachers have already tried, and what seems to help. If follow up with a specialist or counselor is suggested, that good medical and educational care works hand in hand with prayer.

We also encourage you to stay in close conversation with his teacher about extra support at school.

Father, we lift this mother and her precious son to You in Jesus' name. Touch this boy with Your peace and healing, quiet his mother's heart from fear and confusion, and give clear wisdom to her and to his doctors and teachers as they care for him. Lead them to the right help and surround this family with Your grace and protection. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and your burden for your dear son is understood, and it is right that you bring him before the Lord who loves children and hears the cry of a parent.

Let me speak plainly to the fear that lies upon your heart. The enemy is crafty and often shoots this dark arrow into the ear of the child of God, that some curse or spell has power to hold you or your son, and that God has left you to its power. Yet the Scripture declares a better word. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Our deliverance from the curse is not by some counter charm or by the power of any man or woman, but by a ransom found by God Himself, even the blood of His dear Son. If your son is in Christ, no curse pronounced by lips of man can stand against the covenant blood. If you are in Christ, you need not live in bondage to fear of hex or spell, for He who bore the curse upon the tree has broken its power forever. Those who looked to the brazen serpent found life by a look at what God had provided, and even so there is life and healing by looking to Him who was made sin for us.

You ask for healing, and rightly so, for healing and pardon are in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by the Lord's people through Jesus. The least thing about Christ is healing, as the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and that healing comes not through angels as mediators, for there is one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. We do not pray to Raphael or any archangel, for the Father hears us only through His Son, and it is to Him we come. In Him there is abundance of healing power, not only in His great work but in His very leaves, to change the nature and make it new. Where the grace of God comes, it makes a man born again, so that his flesh becomes fresher than that of a little child, for he is a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Be wise then and look upon this affliction not as proof that God has forsaken your child, for it is not in a Father's heart to be always angry with His child. He may chasten for good, but chastening is not punishment, and He will not cast away His own to become the prey of the enemy. Think not so hardly of your Father. He has not shut His ear against you. Go not to spread your griefs to those who would trade in curses and blessings for gain, but go to the throne of grace itself.

And now let us pray together to the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

O Lord our God, who has found a ransom and given Thy Son to be made a curse for us that we might be delivered, look in mercy upon this mother and her son. Forgive all sin and cover them with the righteousness of Christ, that they may not fear the curse but rest in Him who bore it. Thou Sun of Righteousness, rise upon this child with healing in Thy wings. Touch his mind that he may learn and comprehend, touch his body that he may be strengthened and made whole, and quiet his spirit and the spirit of his mother with Thy peace. Remove far from them all fear and confusion and the dread of evil powers, and let them know that Thou hast brought them forth and Thou wilt keep them. Give wisdom to his parents and to those who teach him and care for his body, that they may help him with patience and skill, and give the child grace to grow in favour with God and man. This we ask not by any angel, but in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our redemption and our healer. Amen.

Trust Him, and declare the works of the Lord, for He will not forsake those who trust in Him.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we thank you for trusting us with this deep concern for your son. We hear how much you love him and how heavy this burden has felt as you have watched him struggle with reading and with bowel control, and we have brought you both before the Lord in prayer.

We want to gently bring comfort and truth to the fear that another person has placed a curse on your child. Scripture teaches that those who are in Christ are not under a curse that any human word can impose. As it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the book of the Law, and Christ redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us on the cross. No pastor, prophetess, or other person has power to override what Christ has done or to place your son outside of God's care. Fear of hexes and spells and the search for amulets or incantations to remove them does not come from God, and it can lead us away from simple trust in Him. Our only weapon and remedy is Christ Himself, His Cross, and prayer to the Father in His name. We do not need to call upon angels as mediators or healers, for there is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and receive mercy and healing.

For that reason we do not pray to or through the archangel Raphael, nor do we ask God to send an angel to do what only Christ can do. We pray directly to the Father, in the name of Jesus, trusting that He hears, that He loves your son even more than you do, and that His favor, grace, mercy, peace and joy are given not by a formula that removes words like failure or poverty, but by His own wise and loving will as we walk with Him.

We also want to encourage you in caring for your son's practical needs. Difficulty with reading and comprehension and ongoing soiling at this age are common struggles for many children and they are not signs that he is cursed. They are signs that he needs patient support, careful assessment, and loving instruction. We encourage you to bring these concerns to his pediatrician and to his teachers so they can evaluate his learning and his physical health and suggest helpful next steps. God often works through these good means, and seeking help in this way is part of faithful stewardship. Alongside that, continue to cultivate what is needed for his growth, careful hearing of the word, continual encouragement, fortitude and love, and freedom from fear, knowing that no single thing alone is sufficient but God uses daily faithfulness over time.

Let us pray for you now.

Father in heaven, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior and Healer. We thank You for this child, made in Your image and loved by You. We ask You to guard his heart and mind from fear and confusion, to give him peace, and to help him grow in strength and understanding. Grant wisdom to his parents and to the doctors and teachers who care for him, that they may know how best to help him with reading and with his physical needs. Fill this home with Your grace, mercy, and joy, and teach this family to rest in the finished work of Christ, who has borne every curse for us. Keep them from all idolatry and from trusting in any other power, and draw them closer to Jesus each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus alone. Amen.

We encourage you to keep praying in this way, to read Scripture daily, to stay in fellowship with a faithful local church, and to turn away from anyone who claims to give blessings or curses by their own power. If fear returns, remember that perfect love casts out fear and that Christ holds your son securely. We are continuing to pray for you both and we welcome you to stay in contact so we can walk with you further.
