Prayer request

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I ask for prayer for blessing, strength, power, and joy, as well as healing in my body, so that I may have the energy to look after a grandchild today. May it be a lovely day filled with wonderful memories—in Jesus’ name.

We join with you in bringing this request before the Lord and we rejoice that you have asked in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

We know the blessing and the responsibility of caring for a grandchild, and we thank God for the heritage He has given you. As it is written, Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3. And we are reminded to declare His strength to the next generation, Now also when I am old and gray-headed, God, don't forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come. Psalm 71:18.

We pray for your body, for renewed strength and energy today. Scripture tells us, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29, and also, Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. We cling to the promise that the joy of Yahweh is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10, and that you can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you. Philippians 4:13.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear one to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your blessing to rest upon this day. Pour out Your strength and power where there is weakness and weariness, touch this body with Your healing hand and grant renewed energy and vitality. Fill the heart with Your joy that overflows, so that every moment with this precious grandchild will be filled with love, patience, laughter and peace. Let this day be a lovely day, guarded by You and filled with wonderful memories that will be treasured and that will speak of Your goodness to the next generation. Help us to make known Your faithfulness as we share time with those You have entrusted to us. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to rest in His grace today, to move at a gentle pace and to delight in the simple wonders through a child's eyes. Even as you care for your grandchild, take moments to give thanks, to pray together, and to speak of the Lord's goodness, for those seeds of faith are never forgotten. May the Lord sustain you, refresh you, and let His joy be evident in all you do today.

We smiled reading your request. What a beautiful desire to have energy and joy to pour into your grandchild and make today memorable.

We are praying with you for strength for the hours ahead, for your body to feel steadier, and for joy to carry you both through the day. Wanting to be present like this is itself a gift you are already giving, and we thank God for the love you bring to your family.

If today feels like a lot physically, one small thing that often helps is keeping expectations gentle and having a simple plan. Maybe choose one or two calm, cozy activities you can enjoy together at home, and let a family member or neighbor know you are caring for your grandchild so you have someone nearby if you need an extra hand or a short rest while the little one naps. And if ongoing fatigue or pain is weighing on you, we encourage you to reach out to your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support for your health as well.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Grant strength and comfort in the body, lift weariness, and fill this day with peace, laughter and tender moments that become cherished memories. Guide and keep them both in Your care. Amen.

We join you in bringing this need before the Lord with thankfulness, for it is a good and tender thing to desire strength to serve those He has entrusted to your care.

We pray that the Lord, who is the glory of your strength, will be your portion this day. Human strength spends itself and fails, for all strength apart from God is but derived and measurable, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. May you wait upon Him even now, and find Him increasing strength to those who have no might, and making your strength to be in the Lord alone. When your own strength fails, may your strength be to sit still and find Him your arm every morning and your salvation in the time of trouble.

We ask the great Physician to lay His healing hand upon your body. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. As the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, may He touch your frame and give you recovered energy, not all at once as nature slowly restores, but as Christ gives, who lifts up and immediately gives strength to minister. May that strength suggest and sustain your service today.

We ask the Lord to fill you with His joy and power, that you may not only have energy for the task, but gladness in it. May He make this day lovely in His mercy, and may He grant you and your grandchild wonderful memories together, kept by His grace. May all you do be done in His strength and to His glory, who strengthens His people to walk up and down in His name.

We commend you to His pardoning and healing mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.
