Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your request and we join you in prayer before the Lord with thanksgiving that you have reached out. We hear your desire for strength, clarity, peace and direction, and for God to provide for you and your family, to open doors for work and for a better situation, and to renew your mind and draw you closer to Him.
We pray that the Lord who is called Light will shine upon you, for He delivers from error and dissolves mental darkness. Where your mind feels clouded and your heart feels under attack, ask Him to guard your thoughts, your home and your family, and to give you a quiet and steady trust in His timing. He is near to those who call upon Him, and He hears those who seek Him in sincerity.
In this season, keep close to the means God has given for renewal. Take the Scriptures into your hands each day, and if you are able, gather your family to hear and consider together what you have read, before you turn to the other business of life. Let singing psalms be part of your day, for those who sing psalms are filled with the Holy Spirit and find cheerfulness and strength there. Watch and be sober, and do not leave an opening for the enemy through idleness or restless curiosity, but fill your time with what builds faith and what is needful for life. Bring what you receive from the Lord into your home and your work, rather than letting the worries of the house and the market crowd out what God is speaking to you.
We also pray for your daily employment and provision. God has often called and provided for His people even in lowly and hard labor, as He called fishermen who were mending nets in poverty, and He can meet you in your present work and lead you to what is next. Pray for diligence and humility in the work of your hands, and that He would make you not weary in well doing while you seek a better paying job and a wise relocation. Ask Him to teach you moderation and steadiness, and to give you wisdom to make right decisions, to use your time well, and to avoid company and habits that quench zeal.
We pray now for you: Father in heaven, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would grant this dear one and this family Your protection, peace and provision. Renew the mind, restore focus, give discipline and motivation, and help Your child to pray consistently and to hear Your voice clearly through Your Word. Lift what weighs down the heart, strengthen faith, and grant breakthrough and restoration according to Your will. Provide for financial needs, grant favor in seeking work, give discernment for open doors, and guide every step into the next chapter with wisdom and grace. Keep this household grounded, guard it from evil, and lead it into a fresh start for Your glory. Grant perseverance to keep moving forward even when things feel overwhelming, trusting that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun.
We encourage you to remain in fellowship, to continue in prayer and in the Word, and to seek counsel from faithful believers near you as you wait on the Lord. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He give you confidence that He who has called you will sustain you.
