Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your burden and allowing us to pray with you for your father and for your own needs. It is right that you have come in the name of Jesus, because Jesus himself taught that He is the way to the Father and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
Through Jesus we have direct access to the Father. He did not tell us to come through another mediator, but said that the Father himself loves you because you have loved His Son and believed that He came from God. When we pray in the name of Jesus we are coming to the Father on the ground of what Jesus has done, and we can know the Father hears us because of His love for us in Christ.
Jesus came to reveal the Father to us. He said that to have seen Him is to have seen the Father, and that the words He spoke and the works He did were the works of the Father dwelling in Him. All of His compassion, His healing of the sick and His mending of broken lives, shows us the heart of the Father toward us in our need. That helps us to know how the Father feels about your father in his sickness and about you in this time of financial pressure.
We join you in prayer to our Holy Father, who keeps His own.
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. You see the urgent need for care for this father and the lack of provision with salary withheld for many months. You know every detail of the hospital need and the financial burden. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, that You would provide for what is needed for proper medical care, and that You would move on behalf of those who hold what is owed so that what is due would be released. Lay Your healing hand upon this father, bring comfort and strength to him, and give wisdom to those who care for him. Give peace and steady faith to this son and to the whole family as they wait on You, and help them to know Your love and nearness in this hard season. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us because You love us through Your Son. Amen.
May the Lord encourage you as you continue to seek Him and to trust the Father's care revealed in Jesus.
