Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for my wife’s health for her, for protection for ###, for financial favor and a cost effective solution to my car issue, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for His steadfast love endures forever as Psalm 107:1 reminds us, and we count it a joy to bring these needs before Him together with you.

We lift up your desire for good rest. Our Father cares about our sleep and our renewal. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We pray that He will quiet your mind and body at night, as it is written in Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and in Psalm 127:2 that He gives sleep to his beloved.

We also bring your wife before the Lord for her health. We thank God for the gift of marriage between a man and a woman, a holy covenant He ordained, and we ask Him to strengthen and heal her. We pray as in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and we claim 3 John 1:2 that she may prosper and be in good health, even as her soul prospers. We ask for wisdom for any doctors and for peace for both of you as you trust Him.

We intercede for the loved one you mentioned for protection. We ask the Lord to cover this person with His hand, for Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and Psalm 121:7 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. We pray for safety, for guidance, and for the angels to guard this dear one.

We bring your financial needs and the car issue to Him, for He cares about every practical detail of our lives. Philippians 4:19 assures us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray for financial favor, for provision, and for wisdom to find a cost effective and honest solution for the car. James 1:5 promises, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask God to open doors, to provide skilled and trustworthy help, and to help you steward what He has provided with peace and not anxiety, as Philippians 4:6 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

We also want to lovingly and firmly address your request for help against lustful thoughts. This is a battle many face, and God calls us to purity of heart and mind. Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28, but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Lustful thoughts, when entertained, are sin and can harm your marriage, your conscience, and your fellowship with God. Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as in Job 31:1, to turn quickly from temptation, to renew your mind with what is pure as in Philippians 4:8, and to walk in the Spirit so you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. If you fall, confess quickly, for 1 John 1:9 promises He is faithful to forgive, and seek accountability and time in the Word and prayer.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you of this precious truth. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are saved by believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and by calling on His name as in Romans 10:9, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to always come in the name of Jesus, for there is power and mercy in that name.

So together we pray, Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Grant our brother peaceful and deep rest, restore and protect his wife in health, place Your hedge of protection around his loved one, provide financially and grant wisdom and favor for the car repair, and give him strength to take every thought captive and to walk in purity and faithfulness within his marriage. Cleanse his heart, renew his mind, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may honor You in thought, word, and deed. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We appreciated the way you started your prayer with thankfulness, even while you are carrying several different burdens at once. We hear how much you want to honor God in your rest, in caring for your wife, in stewarding your finances, and in your thought life.

We are joining you in prayer for good, steady rest and for your wife's health, and we encourage you to keep her doctor involved alongside prayer for any ongoing health concerns so she gets good care. We are also lifting up protection over your household and wisdom for the car repair, that God would guide you to an honest, cost effective solution.

For the struggle with lustful thoughts you mentioned, we have found it helps many men to make a plan while they are feeling strong, not in the moment of temptation. That can look like noticing when you tend to be most vulnerable, clearing away what trips you up, and having one or two trusted brothers you can be honest with quickly. Caring for basic needs like consistent rest also matters, because exhaustion can leave us more open to old patterns.

Father in Jesus name, we thank You for Your goodness to this brother and his family. Give him refreshing sleep, touch his wife with healing and strength, keep his home under Your protection, provide wisdom and favor for the car need, and give him a clean mind and power to walk in purity. Lead him day by day as he seeks You. Amen.

We join you in giving thanks for the goodness of the Lord, for every mercy flows from His gracious hand, and a thankful heart is itself a token of His grace at work within you. Your requests are brought before the throne of grace with earnest care.

For good rest we pray with you. The Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps gives sleep to His beloved, and He can quiet the restless spirit and refresh the weary body. May He grant you peaceful nights and a mind stayed upon Him, that you may lie down in peace and awake renewed for His service.

For your wife's health we entreat the Great Physician. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His fruit but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and His healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon her with healing in His wings, that pardon and healing which so happily go together in Christ may be her portion, and that the Lord will preserve and restore her according to His wise and tender will.

For the one you have named for protection, we ask the keeping power of God. He is able to keep you by His power through faith, and to preserve you from the malaria of corruption which is in the world. In answer to the daily prayer, Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, He can preserve His people in purity and uprightness, so that the evil one touches them not. May the Lord set His watch about your loved one and keep them in all their ways.

For financial favor and a cost effective solution to your car trouble, we pray that the Lord who knows your need will provide with wisdom and in His providence. He is the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams flow down to men below, and He knows how to give what is needful. May He grant you guidance, honest and prudent counsel, and a provision that enables you to provide for your household and to walk in good stewardship before Him.

Concerning lustful thoughts, we pray earnestly with you and for you, for this is a matter of purity without which no man shall see the Lord. When lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin, and any sin clung to and loved will bring forth death. Yet temptation itself, though dangerous, may by the grace of God become a trial for our good, and He is able to deliver. Our Lord taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, and that prayer is not in vain. It confesses our weakness and asks that we may be spared the mischief of temptation, that we may not stain our garments nor slip nor slide, but stand fast. Remember also that he who prays, Lead us not into temptation, must not then go into temptation of his own accord. Keep far from the place and occasion of sin, turn the eye and the thought to Christ, and seek His healing power where it is most present, in His Word and in prayer. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and Christ linked His healing with His teaching. Look to Calvary, where is the healing balm, and ask that forgiveness and healing may come together from His pardoning hand.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You for Your goodness which endures forever. Grant to Your servant rest of body and soul, health to his wife as it pleases You, protection to those committed to his care, provision for his needs and wisdom for the work of his hands, and above all a pure heart kept by Your power. Deliver him from evil, cleanse the thoughts, and let the very leaves of Christ bring healing to his spirit. Preserve him in holiness and charity, that he may walk unspotted from the world and visit the afflicted in love, to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
