Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for time with family and for clear direction is a good and right desire, and it is good that you have placed it before the Lord with the heart that His will be done.
God hears those who call on Him through Jesus Christ, for Jesus alone is the way by which we come to the Father and receive forgiveness and access to His grace. When we bring our needs to Him in Jesus name, we can trust that He listens and that His purposes will stand. His plans are not uncertain. He watches over His own and He has promised that if we seek Him we will find Him, and that He will be with those who walk with Him. That promise is sure, and it is meant to give peace while you wait for answers.
As you seek Him about both the trip for Thanksgiving and the larger question of moving closer to family, continue to seek Him sincerely in prayer and in His Word. God often makes His will known as we stay near to Him, and He will lead you in a path you have not seen before and make it plain in His time. You may not see the whole way at once, but He will show the next step. Remember that His purposes will be accomplished, and the blessing for us is to be willing instruments in His hand. Ask Him not only for provision for travel if it is His will, but for wisdom to know whether a move would help you love and serve your family and walk faithfully where He has placed you.
I join you in prayer that the Lord, according to His perfect will, would provide what you need for the visit if He desires you to go, and that He would give you clear guidance about where to live. May He give you peace as you trust Him, contentment in whatever He provides, and confidence that He will do what is best. May He keep you close to Jesus, strengthen your faith, and let you know His presence and leading day by day. Amen.
