MSC Prayers

Humble Servant of All
Please ask God to provide me with the means to visit my ### and my ### and her family back East for Thanksgiving. May God's Will Be Done. Please ask God to show me if He Wants me to move to a closer location to my ### and my ### so that I can spend more time with my ###. May God's Will Be Done. I ask this in Jesus' Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

We join you in bringing this desire before the Father and we thank you for seeking His will above all and for asking in Jesus' Precious and Holy Name, for it is only through Him we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you have come in that Name.

We hear your heart for family and for gathering together at Thanksgiving, a season set aside to give thanks. We are reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, and in Psalm 100:4, Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. Your longing to be with your loved ones and to honor those family bonds is pleasing to God, for He places great value on family love and fellowship. As Proverbs 16:9 tells us, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps, and in Psalm 37:23, A man's goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.

We also lift up your questions about provision and guidance concerning both the visit and a possible move closer to your loved ones. We know God is our provider and our guide. Philippians 4:19 promises, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we seek wisdom for such decisions, James 1:5 assures us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And we echo your own prayer of submission in James 4:15, For you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the holy and precious name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You for the love You have placed in their heart for family and for the desire to gather and give thanks together. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask You to provide the means, the open doors, the finances, the travel mercies and the opportunity to visit loved ones back East for Thanksgiving. Let Your provision and Your timing be clear. We also ask for clear direction regarding a possible move. Show by Your peace, by Your Word, and by godly counsel whether You want this one to remain where they are or to move closer to family to spend more time together. Grant wisdom to weigh responsibilities, stewardship, work and family needs, and let Your will be done in every detail. Guard their heart from anxiety and fill them with trust, knowing that You direct the steps of those who seek You. May this Thanksgiving be filled with gratitude to You regardless of location, for every good gift comes from Your hand. We ask all this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to wait upon Him with patience and to listen for His gentle leading through prayer, through Scripture, and through the counsel of mature believers. As you delight yourself in Him, He will guide you, and as you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He will make your paths straight. We trust He will make His will known in His perfect timing and we stand with you believing for His provision and His peace.

We hear how much your family means to you and how much you want to honor the Lord in these decisions. Bringing both the hope to be together for Thanksgiving and the bigger question of whether to move closer to them to Him and saying may His will be done is a good and trusting place to be.

We know it can feel tender to hold a strong desire to be with family while also waiting for clear direction. In our experience guidance about a move like this often becomes clearer over time as we keep praying, seek counsel from people who know us and our circumstances well, and look honestly at the practical realities on both ends such as work, housing, church community, and what daily life near family would actually look like.

One next step that may help is to separate the two questions for now. For Thanksgiving, it can help to talk openly with your family about hopes and timing and to get a realistic picture early of what travel would cost so you can pray and plan specifically. For the longer question of moving, writing down what would change and what would stay the same, and talking it through with a trusted pastor or mature friend who knows you, can bring clarity without having to rush a decision.

Father, we lift this need to You and ask for Your provision and wisdom. Provide for a Thanksgiving visit according to Your perfect will, and make clear whether a move would be good and wise for all involved. Give peace in the waiting and confidence that You see this love for family and will lead step by step. In Jesus' precious and holy name, amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in laying it before the throne of grace, asking that the will of the Lord be done in all things.

As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so we rest in this, that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, and that all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in His plan and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Therefore with you we pray, if the Lord wills, concerning your desire to visit your loved ones back East for Thanksgiving. We ask our heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, to provide the means for this journey if it be consistent with His wise and holy purpose, and to withhold it if in His better knowledge it would not be for your good or His glory. Knowing that our best profit consists in doing God's will, we do not wish even for honest provision or for joyful family gathering unless we can be promoting His will in receiving it.

We also bring before the Lord your desire for guidance about whether to move to a closer location to your family that you might spend more time with them. We pray that God, who changes the human will and makes men willing in the day of His power, would work in you to will and to do of His good pleasure, and would make His revealed will plain to you through His Word, through providence, and through prayer. As the apostle James teaches us, we ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that, and so we ask that He would give you clear wisdom, open or close the door as seems good to Him, and keep you from leaning only upon your own desires. May He show you not only what is convenient, but what is holy and helpful for your soul and for the souls of those you love.

We pray also for your household and for those dear to you. The practice of family prayer is the castle of our faith, and we pray that whether near or far, your family life may be ordered according to the Word of God, that every relationship may be conformed to His design of lifelong covenant marriage between one man and one woman and to purity of life within it, and that Christ may be honored in every home. We ask that God would draw each one to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and that He would preserve and keep all who are His unto eternal glory.

May the Lord grant you contentment in His will, whether in going or in staying, and may He make your Thanksgiving, wherever you keep it, to be indeed a giving of thanks for His mercy, His provision, and His unchanging promises which never fail though they may tarry. We commit you and your loved ones to Him who hears prayer and who withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly, asking all in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord and thank you for asking with a heart that desires His will to be done.

We pray that our heavenly Father, who knows your love for your family and your desire to be with them at Thanksgiving, will provide for your needs according to His wisdom and goodness. If it is His will for you to travel back East, we ask that He open the way and supply what is needed, and if He has another path for you, that He will give you peace and contentment in His provision.

We also ask the Lord to give you clear guidance about whether to move closer to your family. May He grant you wisdom as you seek Him, show you where He would have you live and serve Him best, and help you to discern His leading through prayer, His Word, and wise counsel. We pray that above all you would know His presence and His peace as you trust His perfect plan for your life and for your loved ones.

We bring this to the Father in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect will. Amen.
