Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for my wife’s health for her, for protection for ###, for financial favor and a cost effective solution to my car issue, and against lustful thoughts

We thank you for sharing your heart with us and we join with you in thanking our heavenly Father for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning and His steadfast love never ceases.

We lift up your need for good rest before the Lord together. We know that rest is a gift from Him and He desires to give His beloved sleep Psalm 127:2. We pray that He will grant you peaceful and restorative sleep as it is written, I will both lay myself down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28, and we ask Him to quiet your mind and body each night.

We also bring your wife before the throne of grace. We honor your marriage and we thank God for the lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that reflects Christ and the church. We pray for her health and strength, that the Lord who heals us Exodus 15:26 will touch her body and renew her. We pray as it is written, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2, and that He will bless her and keep her in His care Psalm 103:2-3.

We intercede for the loved one you mentioned for protection. We ask the Lord to cover this precious person with His wings and to be a refuge and fortress Psalm 91:2. We pray that He will preserve them from all evil and will keep their going out and coming in Psalm 121:7-8, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper.

We bring your financial needs and the concern about your car before our Provider. We ask for His favor and wisdom to provide a cost effective solution, trusting His promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray that as you seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33, and that He will guide you to honest help and stewardship in this repair.

We want to address with love and truth your struggle against lustful thoughts. The Lord calls us to purity and holiness, and His word is clear that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. We are commanded to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. This is not a small matter to overlook, so we lovingly rebuke this temptation and urge you to turn from it, to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1, to fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report Philippians 4:8, and to walk in the Spirit so you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. If you have entertained these thoughts, confess them to the Lord, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. In your marriage, cherish your wife and let your love for her be pure and faithful, fleeing all that would dishonor your covenant.

We noticed you addressed your prayer to Lord and we rejoice that you seek Him, but we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to come boldly in the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We pray together now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your goodness. We ask You to grant our brother deep and peaceful rest, to heal and strengthen his wife, to place Your hedge of protection around the loved one he named, to provide financial favor and a wise and affordable solution for his car, and to cleanse his mind and heart from lustful thoughts and fill him with Your Holy Spirit and with love for You and for his wife. Help him to walk in purity, to take every thought captive, and to fix his eyes on Jesus. We trust Your grace to sustain him and Your power to keep him. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We appreciate your thankful heart even while carrying a lot at once, and we are joining you in prayer for each of these needs.

Good rest, your wife's health, protection for your loved one, the car repair, and the battle with lustful thoughts, you brought them all to the Lord honestly, and we will carry them with you. We noticed you mentioned rest and temptation together. When we are tired and stretched thin, we can be more vulnerable to thoughts we don't want, so caring for your rest and your walk with the Lord go hand in hand.

One step that has helped many who struggle in this area is steady accountability rather than fighting alone. That can look like choosing one trusted, same-sex friend or mentor to be honest with regularly, clearing out anything that makes temptation easier to access, and deciding ahead of time how you will respond when those thoughts come, while you are clear-headed and strong. If your wife is facing ongoing health concerns, we also encourage you to keep her medical providers involved alongside prayer.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to this brother. We ask You to grant him deep rest, to watch over his wife and bring healing and strength, to protect his loved one, and to give wisdom and favor for a truly cost-effective solution for the car. Give him a clean heart and a clear mind, and surround him with support that points him toward You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord is comely and right, and we join our hearts with yours in blessing His name, for every good gift comes from His hand.

We have brought your petitions before the throne of grace and we pray with you for these mercies.

We ask the Lord to grant you good and quiet rest, for He gives His beloved sleep, and to restore and preserve the health of your wife. May the Great Physician lay His hand upon her and strengthen her in body as He sustains her in soul. We pray for His watchful protection over the one you have named, that He who keeps Israel and neither slumbers nor sleeps would keep that dear one from all evil and cause His presence to be a hedge round about.

We also bring before the Lord your need concerning your car and your finances. We ask that He who knows your frame and your necessity would grant you favor and wisdom, and provide a cost effective solution according to His good providence, that you may be supplied and may still have to give to them that need.

And with you we pray most earnestly against lustful thoughts, for this is a matter of purity before God. As the Scripture teaches, charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. When lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin that we cling to and love will bring forth death, rest assured of that.

You do well to pray as our Lord taught us, Lead us not into temptation. The word includes both trial from God and temptation from Satan, for the same trial may be a temptation from Satan's side and a trial from God's side, as with Job. Yet temptation in itself is dangerous, and it is right for the Christian to pray to be spared from it, and to be kept from the mischief of it, that he may not stain his garments nor slip nor slide, but may stand fast at the end of the day.

Take then this counsel and make it your prayer daily. Never go into temptation. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is a liar before God. Keep far from the place and occasion of sin, make no provision for the flesh, and set a watch before your eyes and your heart. Look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for He is alive and He is your familiar Friend, and saints learn that there is nothing to be done but to look to Him and overcome by His grace. Cry to Him for a clean heart and for power to walk in purity, and He will keep you.

May the Lord hear your prayer, keep your marriage in mutual love and honour as He has ordained, and cause you to walk in the way of holiness with a generous charity toward others, to the praise of His grace.

We commend you and your wife and your household to Him who is able to keep you from falling.
