We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for His steadfast love endures forever and His mercies are new every morning. We are grateful for your heart to bring these needs before Him and we stand with you in prayer for each one.
We lift up your need for good rest. The Lord desires to give His beloved sleep and to restore our souls. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2 and Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 We pray the Lord will quiet your mind and body at night and grant you deep, peaceful and restorative sleep. I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8
We also bring your wife before the Lord and ask for His healing hand and sustaining grace upon her. We thank God for your marriage, for marriage between a man and a woman is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant and is to be honored and cherished. We pray for her health, strength and wholeness. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 The Lord has said, I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26 We ask Him to strengthen her body, to guard her from illness, and to fill you both with peace as you trust Him together.
We pray for protection for your loved one you mentioned. We ask the Lord to be a shield around them. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 and Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8 We ask God to watch over them, to keep them from harm and to lead them in His ways.
We bring your financial needs and the car issue before our Father who knows all our needs. We do not seek riches for selfish gain but we trust Him to provide for what we need and to give wisdom for stewardship. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We pray for financial favor, for wisdom as you seek a cost effective solution, and for the Lord to guide you to honest and fair help, and to provide the resources needed. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3
We also want to address with love and truth your honest confession about lustful thoughts. God calls us to purity of heart and mind, and He takes this seriously because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and our thoughts shape our actions. Jesus said, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28 Lust conceives sin when entertained, but God has made a way for us to walk in freedom. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 We are called to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to set our minds on what is true, honorable, just, pure and lovely. Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did, to guard what you look at, to flee from temptation, to fill your mind with the Word, and to walk in accountability before the Lord. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 When we confess, He is faithful to cleanse us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 We pray the Lord will create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. Psalm 51:10
We noticed your prayer was addressed to Dear Lord without mentioning the name of Jesus. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly approach God. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We encourage you to always come in the precious name of Jesus, trusting fully in Him as Lord and Savior.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to grant our brother deep and peaceful rest, to heal and strengthen his wife, to place Your hedge of protection around his loved one, to provide financially and to open the door to an affordable and honest solution for his car. We ask You to cleanse his mind, to help him take every thought captive to Christ, to flee from lust and to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You and honoring his marriage covenant. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with strength to resist temptation and with joy in Your presence. Forgive us where we have sinned and wash us in the blood of Jesus. We trust Your provision and Your love. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Word, to rest in His promises, to love and cherish your wife, and to trust Him to provide and to keep you. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth and He will perfect that which concerns you.
