Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing these burdens so openly. We are joining you in prayer and bringing each of these needs before the Lord, asking Him to work according to His wisdom and mercy and for your good and the good of your children.
We are praying for the upcoming court meeting where your lawyer will stand in your place. Scripture is honest that in human courts justice does not always prevail and truth can seem to fall in the street. God is a God of righteousness and justice and He desires justice to be done, especially for those who feel vulnerable or oppressed. While we cannot be assured of perfect justice from any human system, we can entrust ourselves to the Lord who is the true Judge and who sees all things clearly. We are asking Him to grant your lawyer clear wisdom to know how to act and speak, and to grant favor in that room, that what is right and true would be upheld and that the outcome would be for your best and for your children's best according to God's will.
We are also praying for the medical situation you described. We ask that the Lord would help your lawyer to listen with understanding and to believe and advocate for you faithfully against a difficult situation with your doctor. We pray for grace in the process of tapering this medication, that the Lord who cares for your body would give wisdom to those treating you, remove hindrances, and allow the tapering to proceed as smoothly and completely as possible, with protection from severe side effects and with strength for each step.
We lift up your lawyer before the Lord as you asked. We pray that God would sustain him with strength, energy and health, keep him in His protection, and allow him to carry out this assignment with a clear mind and even with joy rather than stress. We also pray that the Lord would provide for the practical need regarding payment for his services and that He would supply what is needed.
For your home and your children, we pray first that you would know the deep peace that God gives. Scripture teaches that peace with God comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ, who reconciled us to God. When we have peace with God, we can then experience the peace of God that guards our hearts and minds. That perfect peace is promised to those whose minds remain fixed on Him because they trust in Him. Jesus said He leaves His peace with His disciples, a peace the world cannot understand. We pray that as you keep your eyes on Him, even in this storm, He would quiet your heart and your home. We ask Him to heal and draw closer the relationship between you and your children, to protect you from evil and from misunderstanding one another, and to lead you into sweet fellowship together, including praying together. We pray He would grant you His deep, settled peace and healing, restful sleep each night.
We pray for your security and integrity. To be kept under His wings is a picture of being hidden and preserved by His care. We ask that you would sense His supernatural security in the midst of this storm and that He would guard your integrity through it all. We also pray that He would bring the right people into your life, true friends who will support you with truth and love. God's wisdom from above is peaceable and it leads to peace. Those who sow peace reap a harvest of righteousness. As you consecrate your life to Him and seek communion with Him, He will ordain peace for you, because He desires His children to live in peace.
May the Lord keep you in His perfect peace as you trust in Him, establish His righteousness on your behalf, and surround you and your children with His protection and presence. We continue to pray that His mercy and truth, His righteousness and peace, which meet fully in Jesus Christ, would be very real to you in these days. In Jesus name, Amen.
