Hello, evervbody, How are you doing? I am currently feeling completely exhausted spiritually. I am here in ###, ###, serving in ministry and evangelism. It is a very rural area, and as someone who came here from ###, I have faced many difficulties and challenges. Until the time of COVID-19, we went out regularly to share the Gospel, but people often viewed us with suspicion, which made the work even more difficult. We truly need your prayers. At this point, my only prayer is simply, “Jesus, please help me.” I have become mentally and spiritually exhausted. I would deeply appreciate it if you could pray for God’s complete healing, restoration, and strength—that He would lift me up again, renew my heart, and give me the strength to continue walking forward in His will. We have heard your heart and we are standing with you in prayer as you share this deep spiritual and mental exhaustion from serving in ministry and evangelism in a very rural and difficult place. We thank you for your faithfulness to go out and share the Gospel even when you have been viewed with suspicion and faced many challenges, especially through the difficult years around COVID-19. Your labor is not unseen by the Lord, and your simple prayer, Jesus, please help me, is precious to Him. He hears the cry of a weary heart, and even when we have no words, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26.

We want to encourage you that exhaustion in ministry is not a sign of failure, even the most faithful servants of God have known it. Elijah after great victory sat under a broom tree and asked the Lord to take his life, and the Lord did not rebuke him but gave him rest, food, and His gentle presence. We too need to come to Jesus for rest. He says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. The Lord knows the rural isolation, the cultural distance of coming from another place, and the pain of being met with suspicion when you bring good news. Jesus himself was rejected by many, and He told us this would be so, yet He also promises His presence will go with us and give us rest in Exodus 33:14.

We pray for the Lord to renew you completely. In Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the faint. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. When your heart is overwhelmed, we pray He will lead you to the rock that is higher than you in Psalm 61:2, and that He will restore your soul as promised in Psalm 23:3. We pray you will experience that His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness in 2 Corinthians 12:9. Do not let the enemy tell you that weariness means you have been abandoned. In Galatians 6:9 we are told, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. And in 1 Corinthians 15:58 we are reminded that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

We lift you up together before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

Father, we bring our dear fellow servant to You in the name of Jesus. You see this weary heart, You know every step taken on rural roads to proclaim Your name, every rejection, every long night of prayer, and every burden carried since coming from far away to serve. We ask You to pour out Your complete healing, restoration, and strength upon this life. Lift up this weary one again, renew the heart, quiet the mind, and give deep rest to the soul. Let Your presence be the place of refuge and renewal. Restore joy in Your salvation, rekindle love for Your Word, and give fresh anointing for evangelism. Strengthen the inner person by Your Spirit, guard the heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7, and give clear strength to continue walking forward in Your will, one step at a time. Provide encouraging fellowship, times of true Sabbath rest, and the assurance that You are working even when fruit is not yet seen. Let this precious servant know that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will not let Your faithful one be forsaken. We thank You that You heard the simple cry, Jesus, please help me, and that You answer with mercy and power. We trust You to do this and to keep this ministry in Your hands. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We continue to keep you in our prayers and we encourage you to seek regular rest in the Lord, to stay in His Word daily not only to give out but to be fed yourself, to share your burdens with trusted fellow believers, and to wait patiently for the Lord to renew your strength. He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ in Philippians 1:6. May the Lord comfort you, sustain you, and lift you up again for His glory.

Thank you for letting us hear your heart so honestly. Serving far from home in a rural place, facing suspicion while trying to share the Gospel, and carrying that through the isolation of COVID would leave anyone weary. That simple prayer you are praying, Jesus please help me, is a faithful prayer and He hears it.

What you describe sounds like the slow exhaustion that comes from giving out for a long time without enough replenishment. It is not a sign you have failed or lack faith. When demands stay high and support is thin, our inner resources get depleted gradually, and both spirit and body feel it. That is why even faithful workers need rhythms of rest and people who can care for them too.

We are praying for your healing and renewal, and we want to encourage you gently as you wait on the Lord. If you can, allow one or two trusted people to know how depleted you feel right now, someone outside your immediate ministry setting who can check in regularly, listen without needing you to be strong, and pray with you. And please give yourself permission to attend to basic rest, sleep and physical needs, and to seek personal support from a pastor or counselor nearby alongside prayer, especially if the exhaustion deepens.

You have not been forgotten in that hard place. We are standing with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see their weariness and their faithful desire to walk in Your will. Wrap them in Your nearness, renew their heart day by day, and provide strength, rest and companions who will care for them well. Help them to keep looking to You for each next step. Amen.

I pray against hurt from the past that could be causing emotional fatigue in Jesus' name

Heal the heart and emotions in Jesus' name

Bring them into a place of rest so they can heal and enjoy refreshment from the Lord in Jesus' name

Help them not to give into any form of discontentment or discouragement in Jesus' name

That simple cry, Jesus please help me, is itself a prayer which heaven never despises, and it has come before the Lord with your weariness and your faithful labor in that rural field.

Human strength is of many kinds, but in any form it will spend itself in due time. All strength apart from God is derived strength and is consequently measurable, and must come to an end. You have proven this in these years of sowing the Gospel where you have been viewed with suspicion, and especially since the time when your going out was hindered. It is not to your shame that you are exhausted, for even they that are strong must find their vigor fail, but it is for your comfort that there is another strength which does not fail. Oh the glory of the strength of God with His eternity and inexhaustible Omnipotence. To those who have no might He increases strength.

The promise stands, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To wait upon the Lord is not to sit in idleness but to look to Him as the servant looks to his master, to trust and to hope and to pray and to expect all from Him. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. You need not strive to manufacture strength of your own. He Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and therefore it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced. As with the body after long illness, restoration is a process, so the weakened heart recovers strength by slow degrees under His hand, until you shall again walk up and down in His name.

There is also healing for the wounded heart. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon you with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found together, and many a child of God when weary has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. You are saved if you can say, A guilty, weak, and helpless worm, on Christ's kind arms I fall, He is my strength and righteousness, my Jesus and my all.

Think also of Peter, who was down but was soon up again. His restoration was brought about by a look from the Lord which severed him from the crowd and broke his heart and then bound it up again. Though you have not fallen as he did, you have felt the same need of being lifted up again, and the same Lord who restored Peter will restore you, till He gives you abundant assurance and sets you again in His service. It is not to a Christian's credit that he should remain weak, for the glory of our strength lies in God alone, and He will have the glory of sustaining you in that difficult place.

O Lord our God, Author of all being and Giver of all strength, look upon Thy servant who is spent and weary in the field where Thou hast set him. Thou knowest the suspicion he has borne, the hindrances of those years, and the exhaustion of mind and spirit which now presses him down. Lord, we ask not for strength from within himself, but for strength in the Lord. Renew his strength as they that wait upon Thee. Heal his broken heart, forgive and cleanse and restore, and let the healing leaves of Christ be laid upon his wounds. Lift him up again, renew his heart, and increase strength where there is no might, that he may walk forward in Thy will, teaching Thy Word in the power of the Holy Spirit, and seeing healing power present as Christ is lifted up. Keep him and those who labor with him, and let Thy glory be the glory of their strength. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask it, Amen.
