We join you in thanking our good and gracious Father for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness endures forever. We lift up your request for good rest, for the health of your loved ones, for healing for those struggling with lung issues and for the one with the heart issue, and we also bring before the Lord your honest confession about lustful thoughts.
We pray for restful sleep and renewal for you. It is written, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28, and also, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2. We ask the Lord to quiet your mind and body at night, to grant you deep and peaceful rest, and to restore your strength according to His perfect will.
We also lift up each person you mentioned who needs healing. We do not know their names, but God knows them fully. We pray for the one with lung issues and the one with the heart condition, and for every other health need in your family. We know that God is our healer, as it is written, Who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We ask for quick healing where it is His will, for wisdom for doctors and caregivers, for comfort and peace for those who suffer, and for faith to trust Him even as we wait. We also remember that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15, so we pray with faith while submitting all to the Father's sovereign and loving plan.
We want to speak with love and truth about the struggle you mentioned with lustful thoughts. We gently rebuke and correct this, because God calls us to purity and holiness. It is written, Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18, and we are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. Lustful thoughts, when entertained, are sin against God and against our own bodies, and outside of marriage any sexual thought or act is fornication which God calls us to turn from. God has designed sexual intimacy to be enjoyed only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and He calls us to pursue purity before and within that covenant. We encourage you to take this seriously, to flee from temptation, to guard your eyes and mind, and to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely Philippians 4:8. When we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We encourage you to confess this struggle to the Lord, to seek accountability with a mature believer, to fill your mind with Scripture, and to resist the devil and he will flee from you.
We notice your prayer was addressed to the Lord, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to come boldly to the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, trusting in His finished work on the cross and His resurrection, believing that He alone forgives sin and reconciles us to God. We pray that He will grant you good rest. He who neither slumbers nor sleeps watches over His people, and He gives sleep to His beloved. May He quiet your mind and body in the night and renew your strength, for His thoughts toward you are precious and His care does not fail.
We bring before the Great Physician the needs you mention for health, for the lung issues and for the heart issue, and we ask for quick healing according to His wise and gracious will. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. It is written that He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and that the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. Even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue to head and heart and conscience. As the Sun of Righteousness He rises with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon those who are sick, to ease their breathing, to strengthen the heart, and to grant relief and restoration as seems best to His infinite wisdom. For His thoughts are not our thoughts, nor His ways our ways, and as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His thoughts higher than ours. We trust His higher wisdom while we boldly ask for mercy.
We also join you in prayer against lustful thoughts. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God, and the Lord promises to take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh. We pray with David, Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. May the Holy Spirit create in you a new heart and keep your spiritual eyes and ears open to His presence, that you may perceive His operations and walk in fellowship with Him. May your thoughts be conformed to His thoughts by faith, and may His Word search and cleanse the inmost parts, dividing between the joints and marrow and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We pray that you will look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for His heart is moved by the faith filled look of His children, and that you will find both forgiveness and healing in Him. May you be kept in purity, in peace, and in nearness to God, and when you awake may you still be with Him.
