Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your prayer request and for beginning with thanksgiving for God's goodness. That is right and good, to give thanks in all things, and we join you in thanking Him for His mercy toward you and those you love.
We join you in prayer for rest. The Lord Jesus says, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. We pray that He will grant you true rest, not only sleep for the body but peace for the soul as you trust Him and walk with Him. We also remember that our full rest is laid up in heaven, and we pray that your hope there will sustain you in every trial here.
We lift up to the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including those suffering with lung issues and with heart issues. We ask our compassionate Father to bring healing according to His wise and loving will, to grant strength, quick recovery where it pleases Him, and endurance and comfort to those who are ill and to those who care for them. We ask for wisdom for doctors and for peace for families as they wait on the Lord.
We also join you in praying against lustful thoughts. Scripture teaches that the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to dividing soul and spirit, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Nothing is hidden from Him, and He both exposes and cleanses. Lust, like other cares of this world, can choke the Word and lead the heart astray, so we pray that God will give you grace to turn from every temptation, to fix your mind on Christ, to flee what is impure and to pursue what is holy. We pray that you will keep singing and praying to God in your heart throughout the day, even in ordinary work, with a watchful and contrite heart, and that He will renew your mind by His Spirit and by the Scriptures.
We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have salvation and access to the Father. May the God of love and peace be with you, keep you, cleanse you, heal and strengthen you and your loved ones, and make you to rejoice in His goodness. Amen.
