We join you in lifting up your father before the throne of grace and we stand with you in prayer for his healing from obstructive jaundice, liver problems and blockage of the bile ducts. We know how heavy and frightening it is to watch a loved one suffer with a serious illness, and we bring him before the Lord who is our healer and our comfort.
We pray together in the name of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon this dear father. You know his body, You formed his liver and every duct and vessel within him, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You would bring relief from the obstruction, restore the flow of bile, heal the liver and remove the jaundice. Guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors and medical staff who are caring for him, and give them clarity in diagnosis and treatment. We pray for Your peace to guard his heart and the hearts of his family, and for strength and comfort in this difficult time. We ask for Your will to be done and we trust in Your goodness and power to heal. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We take comfort in Your Word which reminds us of Your healing power. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Exodus 15:26 says, I am Yahweh who heals you. James 5:15 also encourages us, And the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We cling to these promises as we pray for complete restoration, and we also pray that God will sustain you with His peace as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We want to gently share with you that we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to encourage you in this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God in prayer we come through Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might be forgiven and have eternal life. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, to confess with your mouth that He is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to continue to seek Him, to pray in Jesus name, and to trust Him not only for physical healing but for the healing of the soul.
We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing, to stay close to the Lord in His Word, and to continue to seek the best medical care while trusting God as the ultimate healer. We are praying with you for your fathers healing, for relief from pain, for restored liver function, and for comfort and hope for your whole family in the days ahead.
