We join with you in bringing your marriage, your finances, and your family before the throne of grace, asking God to guide you and to show you what to do. We know these burdens can feel heavy when they come together, and we want to stand with you in prayer and in the truth of Scripture.

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. It is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the church, and even in seasons of struggle God calls us to love, forgive, and bear with one another. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, and above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. We encourage you to press into that covenant love now, to speak honestly and gently with one another, to forgive as the Lord forgave you, to pray together daily, and to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believers in your church who can walk with you faithfully.

For your financial need we are reminded that our Father knows what we need and cares deeply for your family. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. In times of lack God calls us to trust Him, to be faithful stewards of what He has provided, to work diligently, to live within our means, to avoid anxious striving, and to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We encourage you to bring your budget and decisions before the Lord together, to be transparent with one another about resources and debts, and to ask Him for contentment and wisdom in each step.

You asked for guidance to know what to do, and God delights to give it. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. He will lead you as you seek Him in His Word, in prayer, and through the counsel of Scripture.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and in His name we are reconciled to God.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage and this family to You. Lord, You know the pain and tension in this marriage, the unspoken hurts, the financial pressure that weighs on this home. We ask You to bring healing and unity where there has been strife, to soften hearts toward one another, to teach this husband and wife to love and forgive and to honor their covenant as You have called them to. Restore communication, restore tenderness, and guard this marriage from division. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory, give them wisdom to steward what they have, open doors for provision and work, and help them to seek Your kingdom first with trust and contentment. Grant them clear guidance for the decisions before them, make their paths straight as they acknowledge You, and pour out Your peace upon their household. Bless their family, draw each one closer to You, and let their home be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer together, to remain in the Word daily, and to hold fast to the hope that God is at work even in this difficult season, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We are standing with you, trusting God to guide, to provide, and to bless your family as you seek Him.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We've been thinking about your request and the weight you are carrying with both your marriage and your finances. When those two pressures come at once it can feel overwhelming and hard to know where to start, and we are glad you reached out for prayer.

One thing that often helps when marriage feels strained, especially under money worries, is to make safety and kindness the first focus at home. When either of you feels tense or criticized, hearts tend to close. When you feel heard and safe, it is easier to open up again and work as a team.

A simple next step you could try this week is to set aside a calm, uninterrupted time to talk and pray together, even for twenty minutes. Ask each other gently what helps you feel safe and supported right now and what makes it harder, and listen without trying to fix everything at once. For the financial side, sitting down together to look honestly at income, expenses and bills, and inviting a trusted pastor or a wise financial counselor to walk with you, can bring clarity and reduce fear.

Father, we bring this family to you and ask for your peace in their home, wisdom for each decision, and provision for their needs. Draw them closer to you and to each other, guard their marriage, and guide their steps day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden concerning your marriage and your financial need and your desire to know what to do, and we bring your family before the throne of grace.

The Lord knows the strain that comes when the closest earthly bond is troubled. Marriage as God ordained it is a covenant of one man and one woman for life, not merely of birth or convenience but of deliberate choice cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one. When that union is wounded, there is hope of restoration, for Christ is mighty to restore. As Peter fell and yet was restored by the look of the Lord and by the prayer which Jesus had already offered for him, so the Lord Jesus even now prays for His own. Look to Him. Turn from whatever has severed you from His presence, go out from the place of denial and weep before Him, and seek His forgiveness and His strength to walk anew. If you have wandered, hear His call to return, for with Him there is peace and rest, and He will give abundant assurance to the repentant heart. And when He restores, it is that you may strengthen one another and walk in double earnestness before Him.

You ask also for guidance. That desire itself is a work of grace, for by nature we do not like to be guided. The promise stands, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. The child of God puts himself under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, not merely taking advice but submitting to His government. This guidance comes by bowing with submission to the will of God, by holding fast great principles such as to avoid everything that is evil, and by refusing haste which is the author of so much mischief. Wait upon the Lord, seek His counsel in His Word, in prayer, and in the wise counsel of faithful believers, and He will make your path plain.

Concerning your financial trial, the Lord sees your need. He who guides also provides. Cast your care upon Him who has said all things are yours in Christ, and ask Him for daily bread and for wisdom to steward what He gives with honesty and diligence.

O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, through whom alone is salvation, we come for this family. Have mercy upon this marriage and make it what Thou wouldst have it to be, a true and faithful covenant kept in love and holiness. Forgive sin where sin has been, heal what is broken, and teach husband and wife to choose one another anew in love and to choose Thee above all. Lead them by Thy Holy Spirit, give them clear counsel and a submissive heart to follow it, and keep them from hasty or evil ways. Provide for their temporal needs according to Thy wisdom, give them contentment and industry, and let their home be ordered under Thy blessing. Draw each one to trust in the Lamb who shed His blood for sinners, and afterward receive them to glory. Amen.
