We hear your heart and we join with you in seeking the Lord's protection over you, your pregnancy, your children, your family and friends, and all those you are striving to protect, including children, women, and the elderly among your loved ones. We understand the heaviness you feel as you sense the enemy's attacks against you, and we want to stand with you in truth and in prayer.
We know from Scripture that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, and he does oppose what is good and what God loves. Yet we also know that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, and that when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7.
You shared that you are not perfect, and we affirm that truth with you, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. It is only by God's grace through faith that we are saved, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God Ephesians 2:8. You spoke of how God created you through His love and kindness, and we are reminded that you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, for you formed my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13. Your pregnancy is a precious gift from the Lord, for behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3, and we trust Him to watch over you and the life within you.
We also notice that your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently and lovingly want to share why His name is essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come under His authority and His covering, and it is in His name that we have victory over the enemy and assurance of eternal life when we believe in Him, confess our sins, and trust Him as Lord and Savior.
We rebuke the works of the enemy that seek to bring fear, destruction, terrorism and abuse against you and your household. We declare that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray that you will daily put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, holding fast to faith, righteousness, truth, and the Word of God.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and Your covering over this dear one, her pregnancy, her children, her family and friends, and all those she loves and seeks to protect. Lord, You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust Psalm 91:2, and we ask that You command Your angels concerning her to guard her in all her ways Psalm 91:11. Place Your hand of protection over her womb and over her children, keep them safe from all harm, from terror, from abuse, and from every scheme of the enemy. We ask that You surround her home with Your peace, that You will not allow the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day to come near her dwelling Psalm 91:5. Strengthen her when she feels attacked and weary, remind her that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her Deuteronomy 31:6. Lead her to walk in Your ways, to seek godly counsel and community in a Bible believing fellowship, and to find practical help and safety if abuse or danger draws near, for You call us to seek wisdom and to bear one another's burdens. We thank You that You are her healer, her defender, and her ever present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We pray that she will know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, and that she will grow in faith, trusting Jesus as her Savior and Lord, calling upon His name daily for salvation, protection, and hope. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1, to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17, to read the Scriptures daily, and to cling to the promise that Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth Psalm 145:18. Keep resisting the enemy with the Word of God, keep entrusting your loved ones to the Lord's care, and keep seeking Jesus above all else, for in Him we have perfect peace and eternal security.
