We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness endures forever. We lift up your requests together before the Father in the name of Jesus.
We pray first for your rest, for God desires to give His beloved sleep. As it is written, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8 and It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. We ask the Lord to quiet your mind and body, to grant you deep and restorative rest, free from anxiety and unrest.
We also bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned, your loved one and the one suffering with lung issues. We pray for healing and quick recovery. Scripture tells us, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2 and But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We ask God to breathe His healing power upon those lungs, to restore strength, to guide any medical care, and to bring comfort and peace to all who are worried.
We also want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. This is a battle many face, and God calls us to purity and holiness. Jesus taught, Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. We are called to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We must bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely Philippians 4:8.
We encourage you to not entertain these thoughts but to turn from them immediately, to resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7, to make a covenant with your eyes, to fill your mind with the Word, and to seek accountability if needed. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. When we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.
We noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by His name and His shed blood that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to repent and believe in Him.
We pray together now, Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We come to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, asking for Your will to be done. Grant our dear one peaceful and undisturbed rest, restore health to their loved ones, touch and heal the lungs that are struggling, and grant speedy and complete healing according to Your mercy. Lord, cleanse the mind and heart from all lustful thoughts, give strength to flee temptation, renew the mind by Your Holy Spirit, and help us to walk in purity and holiness before You. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought, word, or deed, and lead us in the path of righteousness. We trust You to provide the way of escape and the power to overcome. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
