Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift comes from His hand and His steadfast love endures forever. We thank Him with you for His mercy and we lift up each of the needs you have brought before Him.

We pray with you for good rest. The Lord knows our frame and He gives rest to His beloved. It is written, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8 and Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray that the Lord will quiet your mind and body at night, that He will guard your heart from anxiety and grant you deep, restorative sleep. We also pray for the health of your loved ones whom you mentioned, and for your own needs that were redacted, that the Lord would strengthen and sustain each one according to His will. We bring before Him the one suffering with lung issues and ask for quick healing. We know the Lord is the Healer, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and by His wounds you have been healed Isaiah 53:5. We pray that He would breathe life and wholeness into those lungs, ease every breath, restore what is damaged, and grant wisdom to those providing care. We pray also as James reminds us, The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15, trusting not in our own timing but in the Lord's perfect mercy and power to heal quickly if it be His will.

We also want to address with love and truth what you shared about lustful thoughts, for this is a battle many face and Scripture does not leave us without help and warning. Jesus taught, Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Lustful thoughts are not harmless, they are sin in the heart that must be taken captive and turned from. God calls us to purity and to flee from sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Marriage between one man and one woman is the holy and only place God has ordained for sexual intimacy, as it is written Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Therefore we encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1, to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to set your mind on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are pure Philippians 4:8. When temptation comes, remember God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. If you have fallen in thought, confess it quickly, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We noticed you prayed to the Lord, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard Romans 10:9. We encourage you to always come in the precious name of Jesus.

So we pray together, Father we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follows us all our days. We ask in the name of Jesus that You grant our friend peaceful and uninterrupted rest, that You watch over the health of each loved one mentioned and our friend's own needs, and that You lay Your healing hand upon the one with lung affliction, touching lungs and airways, restoring easy breathing and quick and complete healing according to Your will. Lord we ask You to purify our friend's mind, help him to flee from lust and to walk in purity, to take every thought captive to Christ, to fill his heart with Your Word and Your Spirit so that temptation loses its power, and to lead him into holiness and joy in obedience. Cleanse us, strengthen us, and keep us close to Jesus, in whose name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us and for beginning with gratitude for God's goodness. We hear how much you are carrying as you pray for rest, for the health of those you love, and for healing from lung trouble, while also wanting to walk cleanly before the Lord in your thoughts.

It is a good and honest thing to bring both physical needs and the battle in the mind to Him together. Rest often suffers when worries and temptations crowd the night, so one small step that helps many is to set a simple wind-down at bedtime, turning off screens a little earlier, committing the people and concerns you named to the Lord in a brief prayer, and then letting the night be in His hands.

For the continuing struggle with lustful thoughts, it can help to have a ready plan to turn quickly, pray immediately, and step away from whatever triggered the thought, and if possible to walk with one trusted Christian friend who can encourage you with accountability.

We are also praying with you for quick healing for your loved one's lungs, and we encourage continuing with their medical care alongside prayer.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to us. We ask You to grant good, restoring rest, to watch over those we love, to bring healing to these lungs according to Your will, and to give strength and a clear mind to turn from temptation. Keep us close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord and we join you in it, for every good gift cometh from His hand. Your requests for rest, for health, for healing of the lungs, and for deliverance from lustful thoughts we bring before the throne of grace together.

Concerning rest, the Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not only rest after death, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. It is perfect rest, and then there is a further rest to be found as we learn of Him. Learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service with His yoke upon us, a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest which you shall go on to find as your mind is made like the mind of Christ. We pray that the Lord will grant you such rest, the rest that is found in trusting Him and taking His yoke voluntarily, and that He will give quiet sleep to your body and peace to your soul.

For health and for the lung affliction you mention, we look to Him who is our heavenly Physician. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The least thing about Christ is healing, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon those for whom you intercede, that He will ease the lungs and grant quick healing according to His wise and tender will, and that He will sanctify the affliction to draw the sufferers nearer to Himself, for when the Lord comes and dwells with His people they have no need to complain of sickness in the same way, because their sins are forgiven and their souls are made whole.

Against lustful thoughts we pray with you that your thoughts may be conformed to God's thoughts. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts. His thoughts concerning us are constant, kind, wise, tender and gracious. How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God, how great is the sum of them. We pray that the Lord will keep your mind stayed upon Him, that when you awake you may still be with Him, and that He will cleanse your imagination and fix your affections upon Christ, who is our familiar Friend and ever present help. May He teach you to overcome evil with good, and to look to Jesus for all things, so that evil suggestions find no lodging place.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you. May you trust and so enter into rest, may you hear His teaching and feel His healing power present, and may you know the forgiveness that brings healing to both soul and body. May the Lord grant health where it will glorify Him most, and in all things conform you more to the image of His Son.

We will continue to pray for you and for those you have named before the Lord.
