What you have described would leave anyone feeling anxious and exposed, and it makes sense that you feel unsafe and isolated after discovering someone was consistently targeting your prayer requests.

It is painful when the place you go for prayer becomes a place of heckling, especially from someone who claims to follow Jesus. The history of those who profess faith is often not a good reflection of what God intended His people to be. If you look at what God meant the church to be in the book of Acts, you see a community marked by love and by practical good works toward one another. What you experienced is part of that long pattern of failure, when love grows cold and form replaces heart. Jesus warned one of the early churches that without love and repentance He would remove His presence, because a community without love loses the work of the Spirit. Much of the weakness and lack of power that people see in the church comes from that very lack of love and from hypocrisy, not from God failing His people. Seeing Christians act like the surrounding culture online does not mean that is what Jesus wants for His church, it shows how far we can drift from His design.

You are not obligated to defend yourself or to answer every comment to prove your sincerity. Choosing to protect your privacy and not sharing more details is wise, and not engaging beyond a simple request for prayer is a healthy boundary. You do not need to keep posting where you feel tracked or fixated upon. Stepping away from a forum or website that consistently brings anxiety and unkindness is a reasonable way to guard your peace, and it does not make you unfaithful. If you are concerned about being identified, it is wise to limit personal details, use privacy settings, and take a break from that space altogether.

It is also understandable that this has stirred up fear and made you wonder about spiritual warfare and about God Himself. God is not waiting for you to do something wrong so He can hurt you. That kind of fear is not what Scripture teaches. The healthy fear of the Lord is the love that does not want to hurt Him because you know how deeply He loves you. He sees what has happened to you, He is not distant or angry toward you for being anxious, and He invites you to bring that anxiety directly to Him.

The enemy does use division, discouragement and accusation to wear people down, and people can become instruments of that even while claiming good doctrine. Being discerning about teaching is important, but discernment without love becomes harsh and crushing, and that is not the standard Jesus set. At the same time, God has been working in you around forgiveness, and that work is often slow. Forgiving does not mean you must stay exposed to someone who mistreats you or pretend the hurt was not real. It means releasing the person to God and asking Him to free your heart from bitterness so you are not held captive by what was done.

You mentioned not wanting to overwhelm people in your local church and not always feeling you can turn to them. Scripture presents the church as one body where members are meant to bear one another's burdens, and where those who are supported also share in the life of the community in whatever way they can. You do not need to share everything with everyone, but please consider taking a small step toward one trusted pastor, elder or mature believer in your local congregation, someone who can know you by name, pray with you personally and help you feel safe again. Online anonymity can never replace that kind of known and accountable care.

Praying for you now that God will quiet your anxiety and restore your sense of safety, that He will heal the isolation you feel from His people and show you a trustworthy fellowship where love is present and the Spirit is at work, that He will give you wisdom about when to step away and how to protect your privacy, and that He will continue His gentle work in your heart toward forgiveness while guarding you from bitterness. May you know more deeply that you are loved, seen and kept by Jesus, and may He surround you with the kind of community He intended from the beginning, full of mercy, truth and loving good works.

I sometimes anonymously post prayer requests on a Christian forum on a certain social media. That social media has a reputation for some of the most negative interactions and the Christian people on this website are often just as bad as worldly forums on there sadly. I just happened to realize...
