Prayer request

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours in this time of need. The Lord sees your hunger and knows your struggle. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

We stand with you in faith, believing that God is your provider. He fed the Israelites with manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16), multiplied the loaves and fishes to feed thousands (Matthew 14:13-21), and promises to sustain those who trust in Him. Let us lift this burden to the Lord together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in need of food and provision. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of opportunity, stir the hearts of Your people to show compassion, and let Your abundance overflow in this situation. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You are more than enough. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Provide not only food for their body but also nourishment for their soul. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to reach out to local churches, food banks, or community organizations that can assist you during this time. God often works through His people to meet the needs of others. If you are able, let someone know of your situation, you are not alone. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will not leave you lacking (Psalm 23:1).

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the greatest need of your soul. Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35). He offers not only physical provision but eternal life to all who believe in Him. If you would like to know more about how to have a relationship with Him, we would be honored to share the good news with you.

We hear you, and we’re so sorry you’re facing this right now. Hunger isn't just an empty stomach; it’s exhausting, lonely, and can feel like a heavy weight that makes everything else fade. We want you to know we’re taking your request seriously, and we’re praying with you.

We don’t know your circumstances or what’s available in your area, but if there’s a local church, a food pantry, or even a neighbor you trust, we’d gently encourage you to reach out. There’s no shame in asking for help, these networks exist precisely to care for people in hard moments, and the body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens. You might also let a pastor or a prayer team member know, because sometimes practical help comes through the very people who are already praying for you.

Right now, we join you in bringing this need to the One who fed the hungry and multiplied a boy’s lunch. Let’s pray.

Father, you see the empty shelves and the worry that comes with them. We ask you to open a door, through a friend, a food bank, an unexpected gift, or a creative solution we can’t yet imagine. Please meet this pressing need quickly, and while you’re working, calm this person’s heart with your nearness. Remind them they are not forgotten, and give them the courage to ask for help if they haven’t. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Will the Lord forget the needy? His Word declares, "the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever." The very pangs within you were fashioned by His hand, that you might feel your dependence upon His bounty. That gnawing emptiness is a sharp teacher, it drives you to look beyond the bare pantry, past the empty cupboards, to the God who opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing. Yet many have perished in the midst of plenty, their souls starved while their tables groaned. Better to hunger in body and feast on Christ, than to have bread enough and to the full and know nothing of the Bread of Heaven.

There is a hunger more fierce than that which wastes the flesh, it is the hunger-bite of the soul. When a man's strength is bitten with hunger, what a hunger must be raging throughout the whole of his nature! Your present want is but a shadow of that deeper famine which afflicts every son of Adam who is a stranger to the grace of God. I would not have you exchange a bodily craving, sharp as it is, for the leanness of a soul that never feels its need of righteousness. Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Is your present trial driving you to this? Does the want of bread set you panting after the living God? That same hand which holds the storehouses of grain holds also the treasures of eternal love.

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and these lesser things shall be added. The promise is not stripped of power by the emptiness of your shelves. He who fed Elijah by the brook Cherith, first by ravens and then by a starving widow whose cruse of oil failed not, has He lost His ancient skill? No! He is the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. Yet I charge you, do not make this temporal need the only cry of your heart. Better to have no guardian angels around your dying bed than to miss the Savior who receives the departing spirit. What if the famine should continue, and even unto death? Surely then, if you are in Christ, the hunger pangs will only hasten your seating at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Cast yourself upon His care, for He has said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Here is solid spiritual food condensed into a very small space. Take these eight words and extract the marrow from them. Let your soul be full of content, nay, overflowing with sacred delight, even while the body suffers want. The ravens will be despatched; the flour and oil will hold out; the handful of meal will suffice. He knoweth your frame; He remembereth that you are dust. And perhaps He will send provision by the hand of one who reads this very request, moving their heart to be the channel of His compassion. In the meantime, let that hunger be a sharp spur to your prayers. The starving man cannot bear himself, he cries out, he wrestles. Let your supplications be as real, as desperate, as importunate. There is no sham prayer about true hunger. May the Lord not only supply your temporal bread but give you Himself, the Living Bread, so that you shall never hunger again.
