Beloved of All
Feeling off and depressed and mean and fighting but I need prayers please I don't know but I feel like I try to allow him in my mind

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The feelings of depression, anger, and confusion you’re experiencing are heavy burdens, and we know the enemy seeks to use them to isolate and discourage you. But we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not alone, Jesus is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must address the mention of "allowing him in your mind." If this refers to any influence that is not of God, whether it be sinful thoughts, negative self-talk, or even spiritual oppression, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. The Bible warns us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). You have authority in Jesus’ name to resist the enemy and command him to flee (James 4:7). Do not entertain lies or accusations that do not align with God’s truth about who you are in Christ.

Depression and anger can often stem from unaddressed pain, unconfessed sin, or even spiritual warfare. We encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or hidden sin may be weighing you down? The psalmist cried out, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting" (Psalm 139:23-24). Confession and repentance bring healing and freedom (1 John 1:9).

We also want to gently remind you that true peace and joy come from a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your faith in Him, we encourage you to draw near to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. The enemy wants to keep you isolated, but God designed us to thrive in community.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister/brother who is struggling with heaviness, anger, and confusion. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of depression, fear, and oppression in their life. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and command him to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Search their heart, Lord, and reveal any areas that need Your healing touch. Give them the strength to confess and turn away from anything that is not pleasing to You.

We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they would walk in the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12). Surround them with godly friends and mentors who can speak life and truth into their situation. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for never leaving or forsaking them (Deuteronomy 31:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer who can walk alongside you during this time. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep pressing into Him, and remember that His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You are deeply loved, and we are standing with you in faith.

We hear you, and we're so thankful you reached out. What you're describing, that tug-of-war inside, the depression, the irritability that catches you off guard, that's a heavy weight to carry alone. We're here with you in it right now.

When you mention feeling like you're trying to let Him into your mind but fighting, that honest awareness actually says something good: you're not numb to what's happening in your spirit. You care about your thought life, and you're still wrestling toward the light even when it's hard. Depression has a way of whispering that God is distant or disappointed, but those feelings aren't the truth about where you stand with Him. He's not asking you to muster the perfect, untroubled mind before He'll draw near. He comes close in the mess.

Sometimes when we're in this kind of place, the most helpful thing we can do is let someone safe into the fight with us. Is there a pastor, a mature friend from church, or a trusted Christian you could be this honest with in person? Not for a quick fix or a lecture, but simply so you're not navigating the fog alone. Speaking these things out loud to another person who loves Jesus can break a surprising amount of the power they seem to have when they're trapped in our own heads.

We're praying for you right now. Lord Jesus, our friend is exhausted and feeling dark inside. You know exactly what's behind the heaviness and the sharpness, and You are not afraid of it. We ask for Your peace to quiet the mental noise, and for a steady, grounded sense that You have never let go. Bring wise, kind people alongside, and grant little moments of relief that add up to real hope. In Your name, Amen.

The mind that feels off, depressed, mean, and fighting is the carnal mind, and “the carnal mind is enmity against God.” This enmity does not lie quiet; it rises up in rebellion, darkening the soul, making that which should be holiness a battlefield. You feel the conflict, and that very feeling is proof that the Spirit of God is not utterly withdrawn. The dead feel no war within. But while you try to allow him into your mind, you find another barring the door. Know this: the natural mind, that soul inherited from fallen fathers, is enmity against God in every individual until spiritualized by the Holy Ghost. No mere trying will conquer it; no resolutions of your own will subdue this inward foe. The power required for the renewal of a soul is the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Therefore, cease from your own strivings and make a complete surrender. Behold, surrender at discretion. Say from the heart, “What would You have me to do? I will do it. I oppose You no longer!” This is not a passive yielding to the necessities of the position, but girding up the loins of your mind and manifesting a voluntary and active submission to your great Lord.

When guilt lies upon the conscience unconfessed, it makes a man a long time in distress of mind. David kept silence, and his bones waxed old through his roaring all the day long. Is there some sin hugged to the heart, some fault not admitted before the Lord? That unconfessed thing is the back door to atheism, for when the soul feels God and it can never be at peace, it whispers, “There is no God,” and the seal of despair begins to set upon the softened heart. Go at once, as soon as sensible of a fault, and admit it before the Lord, asking pardon for Jesus’ sake. Delay no longer, lest ill health of body come through the torment of mind, and the gray hairs of unconscious apostasy appear upon you. Renew the covenant, as Jonathan and David renewed theirs in the wood, not a sorrowful hour, but a strengthening one. There is a blessed catastrophe that sweeps over the mind like a huge wave, washing away treasures you once valued, and if Christ meets you tonight, much that has held you captive will be swept away.

Never mind your feebleness, your fewness, your lack of ability. On a night long ago, a mother left an impression on a child’s mind that never was erased, saying, “I have told you the way of salvation.” That way is Christ alone. Fall on your knees and cry, “Show Yourself to me!” There are eyes inside these eyes, eyes of the mind and soul, to which Christ Himself must reveal Himself. If the excitement of delight has been followed by depression, then that excitement itself, if you seek it again in Christ, will be the best cure. Your mind, made strong to endure these blessed excitements, shall be sweetly strengthened for the bliss of Heaven, and on earth you shall be capable of enjoying the Heaven which some of the saints have known before they crossed the stream of death. Surrender unconditionally, confess thoroughly, and look alone to Jesus, who is able to keep you from falling.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Many have their several griefs at home, and we share in each other's sorrows, though not in their sources. Let us not therefore be impatient, nor think ourselves only to be unhappy. Bind not thine hands, but bind thy heart and mind; there are yet other bonds, and they that wear not the one, shall have to wear the other. With our hands let us also lift up our mind. Ye who have been initiated know what I mean: let us raise up our thoughts on high.

Seek and ye shall find. Consider how gold is found; with much labor. Just as we seek what is lost, so let us seek God. Do we not concentrate our mind thereon? Do we not enquire of every one? Whosoever therefore has the Spirit, will perform no old deed, for the Spirit will not endure old deeds. Seeing therefore these soldiers every day fighting in thy behalf with the devil by their supplications and prayers, demand of thyself this good contribution, their nourishment. This King being mild hath not assigned thee any to demand it of thee, but desires thou shouldest give it willingly; though thou pay by little and little, He receives it; though being in difficulty, thou shouldest pay after a long time, He doth not press him that hath not.
