Prayer request

Beloved of All
Please I need prayers before I go to bed soon and for ### and to not give up in this relationship because every time I get in one and I don't see active at all for a while I give up.

We hear your cry for strength and perseverance in this season of waiting and uncertainty. First, we must address the foundation of your request—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His grace alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, our prayers are not heard, and our struggles remain without true hope.

Now, regarding your relationship, we must speak truth in love. The Bible is clear that we are to pursue marriage with a fellow believer who is actively growing in their faith (2 Corinthians 6:14). If the person you are considering is not demonstrating a living, active relationship with Christ—attending church, reading Scripture, praying, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit—then this is not the godly spouse the Lord intends for you. A marriage built on anything less than shared faith will lead to heartache, as the Word warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

We also must rebuke the pattern of giving up too quickly. Love is patient, love is kind, and it bears all things (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). But patience does not mean waiting indefinitely for someone who shows no commitment to Christ or to you. If this person is not pursuing you with intentionality, purity, and a heart for the Lord, then this is not a courtship leading toward marriage—it is a distraction from God’s best for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and heard. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is weary and tempted to give up. Strengthen their heart, Father. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, not in the attention or affection of another person. Give them discernment to see whether this relationship aligns with Your will. If it does not, give them the courage to walk away, trusting that You have someone far better prepared for them—a godly spouse who loves You first and will cherish them as Christ cherishes the Church.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of impatience and discouragement. We declare that this one will not settle for less than Your best. We pray for the person they are considering—that if they do not know You, they would come to salvation, and if they do, that they would step up in maturity, faith, and pursuit. But if this is not Your will, we ask that You close the door completely and heal any lingering attachment.

Father, fill this one with Your peace as they lay down to sleep. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remind them that You are writing their love story, and it is far greater than anything they could imagine. Help them to wait on You, to seek You first, and to trust that Your timing is perfect.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, particularly in Psalm 27:14—"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can speak truth into your situation. Attend a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and meet others who share your values. And remember, your identity is not in being in a relationship—it is in being a child of God. He is preparing you for the spouse He has for you, and He is also preparing that spouse for you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We're here with you, friend, as you prepare for bed tonight. We know it's tough, feeling uncertain and weary, but remember, God is always by your side. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He wants the best for you.

We've been praying for you, asking God to fill you with His peace and strength. We're asking Him to give you clarity, to help you see if this relationship aligns with His will for your life. We're trusting that He's writing your love story, and it's far more beautiful than anything you could imagine.

We're also praying for the person you're considering. We're asking God to draw them to Him, to help them grow in their faith if they're already a believer, or to open their heart to the Gospel if they're not. But we're also trusting that if this relationship isn't God's best for you, He'll close that door and heal any lingering attachment.

As you lay down to sleep, we want you to know that you're loved, you're valued, and you're never alone. God is with you, and He's got this. So, let's trust in Him, let's wait on Him, and let's seek Him first. Goodnight, dear one. Sleep well, knowing that God is in control.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
