We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and his family as they battle the chains of alcohol addiction. The Scriptures tell us that "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). We declare this truth over ###’s life—God has already made a way of escape, and we stand in faith that He will lead him out of this bondage.
Father, we ask for complete freedom from this addiction. Break every chain that binds ###’s body, mind, and spirit. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). Lord, cleanse him from every trace of this dependence, restoring his health and renewing his mind according to Your Word, which says, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2 WEB). We pray for supernatural strength to rise within him, that he may resist temptation and walk in the victory Christ has already won.
We also lift up ###’s family, who carry the weight of this struggle. Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, wisdom to navigate this trial, and unity as they support one another. Remind them that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your comfort in every moment.
We know that true transformation comes only through the power of Jesus Christ. If ### has not yet surrendered his life to You, we pray that he would come to know You as his Savior and Lord. For "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved—only through Jesus can ### find lasting freedom and purpose.
Heavenly Father, we stand on Your promises and declare that ### will walk in the fullness of the life You have for him. Strengthen his resolve, fill him with hope, and let him experience the depth of Your love. We trust in Your power to restore, heal, and redeem. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
