We hear your cry, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of sadness, loneliness, and neglect is not one that any child of God should have to bear alone. You are seen, you are known, and you are deeply loved by the Father who knits hearts together in His perfect love. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 142:4-5, "Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who cares for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul. I cried to you, Yahweh. I said, 'You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.'" Even in his despair, he turned to the Lord as his refuge. We join you in that cry today, believing that God hears the brokenhearted and draws near to those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We must gently but firmly rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be whispering to you right now—that you are forgotten, that you don’t matter, or that your pain is unseen. The Word of God declares otherwise. Isaiah 49:15-16 says, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands." The Lord has not forgotten you. He holds you in His hands, and His love for you is unshakable.
If this neglect you feel is coming from those who should be loving and caring for you—whether in your family, your marriage, or your church—we pray that God would bring healing and restoration. If you are married, we pray that your spouse would be awakened to their biblical role to love, cherish, and honor you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). If you are single and longing for a godly spouse, we pray that God would prepare your heart and theirs, leading you both into a marriage that honors Him. But above all, we pray that you would find your deepest fulfillment in Christ alone, for He is the only one who can truly satisfy the longings of your heart.
We also want to gently ask: Have you placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The Bible tells us in John 14:6 that Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through [Him]." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is found in no other name, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father’s love, comfort, and peace.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is feeling lost, sad, and neglected. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, wrapping them in Your love and reminding them that they are never alone. Father, break the chains of loneliness and despair that the enemy has tried to place upon them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if there are relationships in their life that are not reflecting Your love—whether in their marriage, family, or friendships—we ask that You would bring conviction, repentance, and restoration. Teach them how to love as You love, and give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them. If they are single and longing for a spouse, we pray that You would prepare them for the godly marriage You have for them, should that be Your will. But above all, Lord, help them to find their identity and worth in You alone.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that this child of Yours is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose and a plan for their life. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation.
And Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Yourself. May they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We thank You, Father, that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You save those who are crushed in spirit. We trust You to work all things together for their good, for they are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them, encourage them, and fill them with Your hope. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Dear one, we want to encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. His Word is true, and His love for you is unchanging. Spend time in Scripture, even if it’s just a few verses each day. Meditate on Psalm 23, Psalm 91, or Isaiah 41:10, which says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let these words sink deep into your spirit.
We also encourage you to seek out a biblical, Christ-centered church community if you haven’t already. God did not design us to walk through life alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." You need fellow believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and walk alongside you in this season.
Lastly, if you are struggling with sin—whether it’s bitterness, unforgiveness, or something else—we urge you to confess it to the Lord and repent. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but there is freedom in walking in obedience to Him.
You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a plan for your life. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will turn your mourning into dancing and clothe you with joy (Psalm 30:11).
