We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious little one in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Only then can we approach God with confidence, knowing our prayers are heard through Christ.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy, which endure forever. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this dear baby tonight. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this child is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You hear the prayers of the righteous (James 5:16).
Lord, we also pray for godly rest for this family and all who are weary. You invite us to come to You when we are burdened and heavy-laden, promising rest for our souls (Matthew 11:28). Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they find comfort in Your presence, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep but watch over them continually (Psalm 121:3-4).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every attack of the enemy against this child and this family to cease in the mighty name of Jesus. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Father, we ask that You surround this family with Your angels, protecting them from all harm and evil. May they feel Your love and presence in tangible ways, and may their faith be strengthened as they see Your hand at work. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved, that they would be guided by Your Spirit in every decision.
Lord, we also lift up any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in the lives of those caring for this child. If there is anything hindering their prayers, we ask that You reveal it so that it may be dealt with according to Your Word. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let nothing stand between them and Your healing power.
We declare that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life, health, and wholeness over every part of their body. May this trial draw this family closer to You and to one another, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We trust in You, Lord, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
