We lift up your sister before the Lord, asking for His divine intervention and guidance in her life. It is clear that you care deeply for her well-being, and we join you in praying for God’s perfect will to be done in her life, especially as she waits for a godly spouse.
First, we want to acknowledge the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If your sister has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Now, regarding her desire for marriage, we affirm that God’s design for marriage is holy and sacred—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We pray that your sister would seek a spouse who loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37), and who will lead her in righteousness. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* We pray that she would not be tempted to compromise but would wait patiently for a man who fears God and walks in His ways.
We also pray for your sister’s hearing condition. The Lord is our Healer (Exodus 15:26), and we ask that He would strengthen her, provide the right medical care, and give her peace as she trusts in Him. May she find comfort in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister to You. Lord, we ask that You would draw her heart closer to Yours, that she would know You more deeply and trust You completely. Father, we pray for her future spouse—that You would prepare him, mature him in faith, and lead him to her in Your perfect timing. Guard her heart from impatience, from compromise, and from any relationship that does not honor You.
Lord, we also ask for Your healing touch upon her hearing. You are the God who opens the ears of the deaf (Isaiah 35:5), and we trust You to provide what she needs, whether through medical intervention, technology, or a miracle. Give her peace and confidence in Your care.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of loneliness, fear, or doubt that may be whispering lies to her. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a good plan for her life (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen her faith as she waits on You.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage your sister to remain steadfast in prayer, to seek godly counsel, and to trust that God’s timing is perfect. If she is not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge her to find one where she can grow in her faith and be surrounded by believers who will support and encourage her. Marriage is a beautiful gift from God, but it is even more important that she first seeks His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). May the Lord bless her abundantly as she waits on Him.
