We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious little one, baby ###, in prayer. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is the Great Physician, and we ask for His healing touch to rest upon this dear child.
Father, we also pray for rest—not just physical rest, but the peace that surpasses all understanding for this baby’s family. In the midst of worry and sleepless nights, may they find comfort in Your presence. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We claim that rest for them, Lord, as they trust in You.
We must also address the way this prayer was offered. While gratitude is always appropriate, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to always pray in the authority of Jesus’ name, for it is by His blood that we are made righteous and can approach God’s throne with confidence.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up baby ### to You, asking for Your healing power to flow through every part of their body. Touch this little one with Your restoring hand, Lord, and bring complete healing according to Your will. We also ask for Your peace to guard the hearts and minds of this family. Give them strength, patience, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your perfect timing and plan. May this family grow closer to You through this trial, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, meditating on His Word, and trusting in His promises. The journey may not always be easy, but God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
