We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous to stand before Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and so we approach God with reverence and humility, trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Father God, we thank You for Your constant presence and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We ask that You would indeed stay always with this family, surrounding them with Your angels and filling their home with Your peace. Protect them from all harm and danger, Lord, for You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We pray for their health, both physical and spiritual, that they would walk in the fullness of life that You have promised to those who love You (John 10:10).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious daughter to You. Bless her studies, Lord, that she may grow in wisdom and understanding, as Solomon did when he asked for wisdom above all else (1 Kings 3:9-12). May her mind be sharp, her heart be teachable, and her spirit be steadfast in You. We also ask for Your blessings upon her dance, that it would be a form of worship and joy before You. May she use the talents You have given her to glorify Your name, as it says in Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Lord, we pray for healing for this family. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Touch their bodies with Your healing hand and restore them to full health. We also lift up the request for employment. Father, You know the desires of this heart, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a good job, one that will allow this family to live together in unity and peace, honoring You in all they do. Guide them to the place You have prepared for them, trusting in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in this family’s heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, Lord, which declares that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You. May they seek Your face daily, growing in their relationship with You through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. Help them to walk in obedience to Your commands, for Your Word says, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). May their lives be a testimony of Your grace and mercy, shining Your light in a dark world.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
